About this deal

In 2009, Fujifilm dropped the Instax series, which changed the instant camera market. Their uniqueness is that they print what you shoot immediately. And this also means that you cannot replicate the images. For best results, remember to maintain a good working distance from your subject—about 2 to 9ft. Your camera’s built-in flash has an effective range of around 0.6m (1.97ft) to 2.7m (8.86ft), so stay within this range to ensure that your photos are properly focused and correctly exposed. Play around with the suggested brightness setting. Nobody is going to claim their creative goal is natural looking results when using an instant camera. The minute and a half wait for ‘instant’ delivery is the selling point here – with photographic quality coming second. Indeed, the typically either under-or-over-exposed look of an instant print, the marginally out-of-focus results (0.3 metres is the closest you can get to a subject) and the fact that a lot of the time the photographer won’t have got things 100% perfectly framed is a large part of instant cameras’ naïve charm.

It’s good to avoid using your film at extremely high or low temperatures. It’s best to use it at room temperature. But it works between 41 and 14 F (5 and 40 C). Focusing and FramingWith the high-key mode, you can have a brighter image so that it will overexpose it. But the image quality is fluctuant. And the light metering doesn’t always seem to be precise. You will see a yellow mark on your camera when you open the door. You will see the same on the film. Just place the two signs together, and your film is in its place. Then close the door and start shooting.

Naturally there’s a small mirror provided adjacent to the lens on this Fuji, thus allowing for users to perfect their ‘selfie’ game. But beyond that, the camera provides a selfie mode of sorts by advising users to pull out the front edge of the lens after powering the camera on. There is a built-in flash. It is on and flashes every time, no matter how much light the light meter senses. So it’s important to pay attention and not cover the light meter or the flash. You can also choose a camera with other film formats. For example, the Instax Wide 300. This works with bigger film sizes, which is better for showing more detail. One other hindrance is the angle of view of the lens. It's pretty easy to frame yourself—just center the lens and shoot—but if you're trying to selfie with a friend, an instant camera with a wider angle lens and selfie mirror is a better choice. The Lomo'Instant costs nearly twice as much, but that's a small price to pay for the endless number of arm-length shots you can take of you and your bestie side by side. Film Format

It’s best to have your subjects close to the camera. And shooting more visible subjects is better because the images will not contain too many details. The print in question is ejected from the top of the camera almost as soon as the flash has fired – and here it always fires, even in strong sunlight, as there appears to be no way to disable it, as we occasionally can on higher end instant models. Science has found that the instant print doesn’t develop any faster if you ‘shake it like a Polaroid picture’, so we have to wait the typical 90 seconds for the finished result. Incidentally, the Instax Mini 11’s effective flash range is up to a very fair 2.7 metres, with a 6.5 second wait between flashes. To be honest, an instant camera isn’t one for rapid-fire use, so that sort of delay is scarcely going to be an issue. Originally the Mini 8 came in five basic colors. Fujifilm later added a series of bolder color choices to the lineup listed below:

When you turn on the Instax Mini 8, you will see a little red-and-orange light on the exposure setting dial. If you’re a newbie, then by all means, follow the camera’s suggested setting. But in certain situations, you can choose to set the brightness yourself if you want a brighter or darker outcome. The camera automatically determines the best setting for your chosen subject or current lighting situation. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 is a relatively small camera. It’s 4.6 x 4.6 x 3.5 inches (116 x 118 x 88 mm) and 0.68 lb (307 g) without batteries. so you can sign or leave a message to give it that nice personal touch. Should I buy the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 camera?

When you want to take a self portrait, Instax Mini’s self-portrait timer is a great feature. Here’s how to get started taking instant selfies:
