Over time water will build up in your tank. If you have no way of removing it, the water will suddenly spray out of your airbrush. Not cool man! Output from the regulator is a standard 1/8 BSP connector to fit most airbrush air-lines, which is an improvement of many compressors that have a 1/4 BSP fitting and hence require an additional adaptor to fit the airline. The second type is direct, basically the motor compresses the air, and pushes it straight down the hose to your airbrush at your chosen pressure. In short your compressor's horsepower rating is a measurement of the power of the compressors motor. Most small airbrush compressors will usuallyrange from 1/6 to 1/4 horsepower.
