About this deal

Vacuums, especially those with HEPA filters, remove allergens making the artificial grass safer for anyone experiencing allergies This is a solid and well put together home gardening tool. The plastic components are made of heavy-duty stuff, and there’s no rattling or shaking to be seen. The motor starts up really easily from cold and warm, and runs incredibly smoothly, even when you vary the power using the trigger. B&M offers a range of artificial grasses, as well as adhesive joining tape for installing. It doesn't have a delivery service, though, so you'll need to be able to get to a store. Most manufacturers will recommend that you only use the vacuum attachment with a soft brush to clean artificial grass. You should never use a beater brush or hard bristles, as this could damage the fibers and make the grass look ragged.

There aren’t many brands offering cordless leaf vacuums out there, but Greenworks are giving it their best shot with their impressive GD40BV model. If you was unfortunate enough to buy one of their early cordless pressure washers and have the batteries then here’s a damn good effort at putting that wrong, very right! The AGM Artificial Grass Brush/Broom/Sweeper has all the power of corded brushes, but with the freedom of being cordless.

Can Artificial Grass Be Vacuumed Regularly?

You will probably find lots of rubber brushes which are labelled as “ideal” for artificial grass. We have found these to be no good and overall as they can’t get out dirt and dust which has gone into the fibres of the turf.

Some of the the mid-priced grasses have individual strands of plastic that look remarkably similar to real grass. The strands are held upright by brushing a layer of fine sand into the pile. The sand will have to be renewed every year, and might need brushing occasionally to keep the strands upright. Where to buy artificial grass? Also, the power settings you use will determine how long the battery will last. With the 4mah, I used this tool in vacuum mode on full power for about 20 minutes before it needed to be recharged. This might not sound a lot, but this is a powerful machine and you can clear a lot of leaves in that time. In fact, you could probably get away with using the tool on a lower power setting and increasing the running time. One 1.5 amp hour high powered lithium battery and charger are included, capable of covering up to 50+ square metres.

It’s worth investing in a good quality product that will last and be durable however the initial cost may put some people off, especially if they are not sure if it will work for them or not. The shredding can then either be disposed of in a garden burner, used as mulch, or added to the compost pile/bin. These shredded leaves are actually perfect for making compost as their smaller size means they will break down faster. The damage begins beneath the surface: most worms and soil insects that thrive under a real lawn can't survive under a synthetic one. This displacement disrupts the soil ecology, leading to unknown long-term effects. Above the surface, an artificial lawn can't provide the necessary nutrients to sustain birds and other garden wildlife, including bees.
