About this deal

However most of the actual substance was forgettable. Central plot, characters, motivations, action, twists, nothing really stood out. The only notable exception was the Silver Surfer mini series, which adequatedly captured his moral dilemmas and how he dealt with them. But even this interesting character study was somewhat tarnished by simultaneously introducing a new derivative villainous figure. Collects Doctor Strange (1968) #169-183, Avengers (1963) #61, Sub-Mariner (1968) #22, and Incredible Hulk (1968) #126. Also includes material from Strange Tales (1951) #147-168, Marvel Feature (1971) #1, and Not Brand Echh (1967) #13. One of the best event books I can remember, but not without flaws. The lead-up to the actual event is some good stuff. They took such care to get this off the ground: the disparate threads (mini-arcs, each featuring a character) help show how Annihilus’s wave impacts the entire galaxy, building the menace and dread as it spreads, and forcing those threads to come together to fight it. Antes que todo cachemos que Annihilius, o como vrg se escriba, es un monstruo del espacio (como los aliens de Ben 10) que solo tiene en mente destruir y hacer mucho caos. Elsewhere in the galaxy, Ronan the Accuser, Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire, is arrested for treason. The Super-Skrull learns that the Annihilation Wave is moving toward the Skrull Empire, while the Silver Surfer decides to investigate. [7] Annihilation: Nova [ edit ]

There are some cool moments in the book, though. In the end, I think that the legacy of the story is more important than the story itself. It really reinvigorated the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe. It reinvented some characters that people didn't care about before - both in comics and in movies. Collects Avengers vs. X-Men (2012) #0-12; Point One (2011) #1 (AVX story); AVX: Vs. (2012) #1-6; Avengers vs. X-Men: Infinite (2012) #1, 6, 10; Avengers Academy (2010) #29-33; Secret Avengers (2010) #26-28; Avengers (2010) #25-30; New Avengers (2010) #24-30; X-Men Legacy (2008) #266-270; Wolverine & the X-Men (2011) #9-16, 18; AVX: Consequences (2012) #1-5; Uncanny X-Men (2011) #11-20; and A-Babies vs. X-Babies (2012) #1. The Heralds stories: those were okay. The one about Stardust was a bit horrific. The one with Firelord was understandable. The one with Terrax was interesting and unexpected. I liked his 'final solution' to the problem he faced before his 'final final solution.' The one with Surfer was okay.
