Some gamma/saturation shifts are noticeable when it comes to color-critical use, but it’s not an issue for everyday entertainment use. Although Baldur’s Gate 3 is stunning, the isometric camera angle can occasionally make it challenging to see specific objects or determine which objects can be interacted with. Holding down the left alt key allows you to highlight certain objects, but this only works with specific items. The Highlight Everything mod by shalzuth resolves this problem by highlighting all interactive items when left alt is pressed, not just the items that are highlighted by default. This can greatly simplify the process of finding difficult-to-spot items, making it one of the most useful Baldur’s Gate 3 mods.

Nail all the words, and boom—the enemy's destroyed. Any D&D fan will know that although Baldur’s Gate 3 has a ton of spells, it includes only the features and spells from the Player’s Handbook, which is the baseline needed for the tabletop game; a large number of spells from other D&D 5e rulebooks, such as Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, were never implemented in Baldur’s Gate 3, which is understandable given how some of the spells are tough to balance. This mod by DiZ91891 brings in a ton of fan-favorite spells from the first level up to the fifth level. Spells for levels six to nine were causing the game to crash and have recently been disabled by the author until they can be fixed. The spells in this mod have not been balanced, however, and are added with the “rules as written” guideline, meaning they might not fit well for video game standards. Nevertheless, the number of new spells you get with this mod makes it all worthwhile, and a nice touch is that the author is highly active and posts regular updates on Nexus Mods. The interpolation process at 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) is very effective and provides significantly less softening than using GPU scaling or indeed the interpolation process on many monitors. There is a degree of definition lost around the edges of objects in particular (a bit like free anti-aliasing, of sorts). But a good degree of detail is maintained overall and an effective sharpening filter is used. Whilst things don’t quite look like a native 27” Full HD display, the monitor certainly makes the resolution usable. You can also set a custom resolution of 2560 x 1080 (up to 100Hz via HDMI, 200Hz via DP) if you wish to use the entire screen space whilst maintaining the 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor will run at 3440 x 1440 and the GPU will handle the scaling there. There’s therefore a greater degree of softening compared to the monitor’s own interpolation at 1920 x 1080. But it’s usable in a pinch. Shadow of the Tomb Raider was also presented in a vivid and varied way. Shades appeared with a bit of extra depth and saturation due to the colour gamut – just enough to make the game world appear vivid rather than unnatural. Lara’s skin appeared slightly more tanned than it should (when displayed in the central region of the screen) but not heavily tanned or sunburnt. Some reddish brown hues appeared only slightly too red overall, but still natural. A nice range of natural-looking greens was displayed for vegetation, too, with some appearing with slightly brighter yellow hues than intended but nothing extreme. Roaring orange and yellow flames, brightly painted red pottery and deep purple flowers were just some examples of very nicely presented vibrant-looking shades that stood out well on this model. With a somewhat more saturated look than intended by the developers, but nothing garish. There were some losses of saturation peripherally, as observed on Battlefield V, but only modest losses. The overall look remained quite vibrant and something many users will find appealing.
