Description: This course satisfies mandatory training requirements for the certification of personnel responsible for conducting munitions disposal (demilitarization) activities as prescribed by AMC-R 350-4 and DA Fellows enrolled in the Logistics Functional Community as prescribed by AR 690-950. This course provides a comprehensive review of regulations governing the demilitarization of munitions, emerging technologies for resource recovery and recycling, and environmental requirements and decontamination methods (e.g. Military Munitions Rule - MMR), as well as technical training in the application of ammunition demilitarization methods, procedures, and techniques for open burning and open detonation operations. Students will receive hands-on training in conducting munitions disposal activities using both electric and nonelectric detonation methods during live explosives exercises on a demolition range. Audience: Demil Operators, Demil Planners, Supervisors, and Inspectors, and Ammunition Surveillance Inspectors as prescribed by AMC-R 350-4 and Logistics Functional Community Fellows as prescribed by AR 690-950.
