About this deal

S-Cinetone™ look profile which is inspired by the digital motion picture camera VENICE’s colour science, also used in FX9 and FX6 Cinema Line cameras, and records up to 4K 120p But it does mean that the FX3 is promising completely 'uninterrupted' 4K/60p shooting, which might push it ahead of the A7S III for those who regularly shoot long clips like one-shots or interviews. Sony internal tests. USB power supply (USB-PD device, 9V/3A output), XAVC S-I (All-I), 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2, 77 °F (ambient, camera when recording started), Auto power: Off, Temperature: High, Cooling fan: Auto. The duration will vary depending on the shooting conditions. The maximum continuous recording time for a single movie shooting session is approximately 13 hours (a product specification limit). It’s true that the Sony FX3 offers some advantages over the cheaper FX30, notably for low-light shooters who have already invested in full frame Sony FE mount lenses. Because it's designed for solo, run-and-gun filmmaking, the FX3 also has in-body image stabilization (IBIS) along with an electronic Active Mode, which gives you even stronger stabilization at the expense of a 10% crop.

The FX3 offers an exceptional 15+ stops2 of dynamic range to handle settings ranging from well-lit interiors and outdoors in mid-day to morning and evening shots. Capture every nuance, and allow for unprecedented cinematic freedom in color grading. Stunning bokeh and full-frame creativity The latest Windows 11 update won't install for some users, and tanks gaming performance even if it does The Sony A7S III impressed us with its ability to handle the heat generated from recording long 4K clips –in fact, we were able to shoot continuous 4K video for well in excess of 30 minutes and didn't once see an over-heating warning. The most compact and lightweight Cinema Line camera is ideal for handheld shooting, gimbal and drone-mounted work. It weighs just 715 grams, including battery and memory cards, and the body is 77.8 mm high, 129.7 mm wide and 84.5 mm deep – without protrusions. The camera grip has been carefully designed to provide optimum flexibility, stability and comfort for long shoots. However, the FX30 offers the same design, handling, build and cinematic features at half the price. It’s also an effective and useful stills camera, where the FX3 is not. Slightly less impressive is the absence of built-in ND filters, which are a pretty useful for filmmakers, particularly when shooting in bright conditions. The 3.0-type (1.44 million-dot) LCD touch-screen panel features a side-opening design to allow flexible positioning and improved visibility when the camera is mounted on gimbals. Touch-panel support also provides intuitive menu control for many camera settings. Essential controls for efficient solo shooting The Sony FX3 has been priced at Rs 3,99,990 in India and is set to be available April 8 onwards. This price is only for the body of the FX3 Cinema-Line Camera.

Visit us and you'll always find a friendly welcome. Our policy is to treat our customers as we would like to be treated ourselves, a simple ideal that we try hard to live up to. A network connection, via Wi-Fi® or wired via a USB Type-C connector, provides support for remote control from smartphones or tablets, with either NFC one-touch or manual pairing. Remote shooting can be controlled from a PC with Sony’s Imaging Edge Desktop™ application, or from a mobile device with Imaging Edge Mobile™. And captured still and movie files can be transferred using high-speed FTP. Remote preview, shooting, and streaming The zoom lever located on the top of the grip not only controls compatible powered zoom lenses but also allows Clear Image Zoom to be also used with unpowered zoom and prime lenses with less image degradation – reducing the number of lenses required for many projects. This lever also enables smooth zooming that is difficult for manual zoom-ring control. Slightly more curious is the FX3's inclusion of a zoom lever. We say curious because only two Sony lenses – the FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 and FE C 16-35mm T3.1 – currently have a built-in power zoom motors that will work with this lever.Looking to upgrade your equipment? On the face of it, these cameras offer the same 4K video recording capabilities and slow-motion capture of up to 240fps in full HD. However, while the FX30 and FX3 can both capture 4K 120p video, the FX30 has to use a much tighter 1.6x crop, while the FX3’s 120p crop factor is only 1.1x. We’d give the FX3 the edge for slow-motion capture. 6. Stabilization But Sony says that its electronic Clear Image Zoom function –which lets you get 2x zoom with any lens by intelligently creating pixels, rather than simply cropping – is very popular with pro filmmakers, and this function will also work with the FX3's zoom lever. 4. The FX3 has cooling fans for longer record times It's possible to get a similar setup on the A7S III with an additional cage, but it's another example of how much more pro video-oriented the Sony FX3 is out of the box compared to its Alpha counterpart. 6. The Sony FX3 is pricier than the A7S III Submit a valuation request and we'll provide guide prices with no delay. Plus, we'll collect your gear from your home or work for FREE. While it's possible to add a cage to the Sony A7S III, it's mainly designed to be used handheld in a similar style to a stills camera – and that's where it differs from the FX3.axis in-body image stabilisation with Active Mode makes the FX3 ideal for hand-held shooting. The FX3 includes a detachable top handle with XLR inputs for microphones or other audio connections. There's an option to shoot slo-mo 4K/120p footage, and the FX3 also has the popular S-Cinetone color profile, which recently arrived on the A7S III via a firmware update. Camera-shake metadata is recorded by the built-in gyro, allowing handheld footage to be smoothed out and stabilized in post-production. Using Sony’s Catalyst Browse / Catalyst Prepare desktop application10 you can easily balance automated shake-compensation and image-trimming levels. Catalyst can also make effective use of recorded camera-rotation data. Front and rear tally lamps The FX3 also has the same 13-hour maximum continuous recording time as the A7S III. All of which means that card capacities and battery life are likely to be more of a limiting factor than overheating. 5. The FX3 has built-in thread holes for accessories USB charging and power delivery are only supported via the USB Type-C® terminal. Compatibility is not guaranteed with all USB PD devices. A battery must be installed in the camera when supplying USB power.
