About this deal

Tilaus voidaan noutaa halutusta Puuilo-myymälästä, mikäli tuotetta on kyseisen myymälän varastossa. Suitable for any points type ignition system, our Powerspark Electronic Ignition Electronic Kits, and other electronic ignition systems. I have used Champion RN9YCC plugs in my Minor for some time without problems. Currently NGK BP8ES plugs are fitted. I went to a BP5ES plug (slightly hotter than the BP6) and switched to 87 octane gas as another step toward reaching my goals. I started my quest for a smooth idle, peppy acceleration, clean oil, clean plugs and decent gas mileage last year.

So, the plan is to work on a few small things on Saturday and I wanted to throw new spark plugs in while I was there and take it for a spin. I know BP5ES and BP6ES are the general recommendations for 2002 2.0 liter engines and I always use NGK, but I'm not sure which heat range I should go with. Here's what I know about the engine: Suggest posting a photo of your existing plugs as they came out ... a look at the threads can offer some information about whether you’ve got an appropriate plug. -KB Switched to hotter BP5ES and Regular gas ......and now it runs better than ever and the plugs are picture perfect after 1,000 miles. The car ran well before, but I have no idea how long the plugs were in there for. They were normal grey/brown when they came out, and the gaps were probably nearer .70 thou, so imagine a fair while, although the engine has only covered circa 2k miles since a rebuild in 2003. Currently i have been using the Champion N9YC with no major problems except the car always seemed to take 2 or 3 attempts to start.

not wanting to ruin the NGK debate...but is no one using Bosch? I am driving 4-point WR78X. Someone once noted such 4-point plugs are a better fit for an engine such as ours... This last step reduced the soot on the plugs and in the tail pipe, and made the engine run much smoother. Champion N9YC, Denso W20EP, W20EP-U, Bosch W6D, WR6DP, W7D, W7DC, W7DC, Rocwood F6TC, Oregon 77-215-1, 77-315-1, 77-316-1, O-L15YC, LR15Y, Torch F6TC. The [ dated ] information I have is that the 7s correlated to Champion N9Y and the 6s correlated to Champion N12Y, specified for TR5/6 P.I. and TR250/6 carb respectively, by TRIUMPH. So my experience amounts to " going by the book ". A spark plug produces a high intensity electrical discharge (the spark) inside the combustion chamber, igniting your fuel to keep the engine firing. The NGK Standard Spark Plug is constructed from durable material that is corrosion and abrasion resistant. The spark plug insulators are made of 99 percent pure alumina silicate, allowing for longer insulator noses for reduced fouling. This spark plug features a triple gasket sealing process that eliminates fuel leakage. It also includes a solid copper core that provides superior heat dissipation and conductivity. This spark plug has resistor that is produced with a glass and carbon mixture, which is fired to ensure superior performance and durability. It has corrugated ribs that prevent flashover and cold rolled threads to inhibit damage to the cylinder head.

NGK Lawnmower Sparkplug - BPR6ES

On 6ES, V-Power or Ultimate + Valvemaster, I get occasional cold-start fouling on my PI. On 7ES it was even worse. NGK is the brand leader in the UK spark plug market and are the world's biggest supplier to many major car manufacturers. Each and every one of their products are designed to meet the most rigorous standards and are the professionals' choice because of their quality and technical excellence. Their plugs can be found in use by teams in F1, WRC and MotoGP. Put simply, NGK genuine spark plugs are the workhorse at the heart of smooth-running engines around the world. Carbs: They're necessary and barely controlled fuel leaks that sometimes match the air passing through them. I had to get rid of the slop in the distributor, replace the throttle shaft bearings (vacuum leak), power valve, accelerator pump diaphragm , and plastic float (replaced with brass) on my Weber 32/36.

Tom - a Stage 2 head is basically gas flowed and ported with slightly larger valves. Mine is approx a CR of 9.75. My biggest failure with a NGK plug was when the earth terminal fell off and was jammed into the top of the piston on my previous modern. That meant me taking the head off which had to have a light skim. Not a job I want to do again as half the car and half the engine had to be stripped to gain access. In my day job I design special purpose blast machines, one of our customers in the 90's was Champion.I know it's been a little while since I've posted. The car is here but still in winter storage out in the burbs, so I only get over there every couple of weeks for a little while since the garage isn't heated and it's 40 miles away (better than 2,200, right?). I'll be bringing it up to my place once the salt has been washed off the roads and the temps come up a little. This spark plug has corrugated ribs, triple gasket seal, copper core for more effective heat removal, a 21 mm (13/16 inches) hex size, and 0.9 mm (0.035 inches) gap.
