The SlingFire was the second Nerf blaster to feature a lever-action mechanism for priming, the first being the Multishot Madness Diatron. Crank-action is a priming style involving a crank handle that must be actuated to prime the blaster. Blasters that use crank-action often feature slam fire, pseudo-slam fire, or other methods of repeating fire since it is convenient for the user to continuously crank the handle of a blaster to fire off darts in rapid succession.
