Neoprene rubber was the first synthetic rubber developed by Dupont in the 1930’s, created through a process called polymerization, where chloroprene molecules are chemically bonded together to form a durable and flexible material. Neoprene was originally invented as an oil resistance alternative material to Natural Rubber but has since gained vast popularity, now Neoprene is one of the most used elastomers worldwide and can be found in many different applications.
