About this deal

Following the resignation of Mayor Joseph Richards in a scandal at the end of Series 6, Episode 1, Catherine decides to stand as a candidate in the mayoral election to replace him. She is elected in Series 6, Episode 8 after one of the other candidates is murdered due to an old vendetta and the other is convinced to stand down from the election by the police team after they discover his hypocritical actions. During the investigation, it is strongly implied that the killers attempted to frame Catherine for the murder, but this part of the plan fails as none of the team is able to believe that Catherine would commit murder. The “truth” is that there are many possible killers, and many ways to build a case. Even if you make a convincing case for prosecution and get someone convicted, is the mystery really solved?

Even the opposing fraction ADAM fighting against AEON is led by a woman with firm beliefs, but that side of the story doesn't contribute anything wxcept bodies dropping left and right. It ultimately leaves us with a question - what really was the point of it all, if neither the negative forces leading the controversial ageist agenda had anything to speak for themselves, nor the resistance party trying to reinstate the status quo. Upon her life-threatening battle with Ran, Yuzuriha's selfish attitude changed. Instead of abandoning him, Yuzuriha chose to grab and retreat with a badly injured Gabimaru despite her past warning to him that she was only looking after herself. [11] She was also willing to fight alongside him despite her grievous injuries. With her remaining Tao left, Yuzuriha ultimately was willing to risk her life to fulfill her task in killing Ran. Although the game would potentially only be played once I felt it was still value for money. It only adding a little additional cost to the cost of a normal dinner party, but made it unusual and far more exciting than the average dinner party. Mei provides the group with information regarding the sea monsters guarding the island and the ships located deep within Hōrai as a way to escape the island. She also tells them that the elixir is located in Rien's, and her previous, laboratory. The group then sits through lessons instructed by Gabimaru and Yuzuriha on how to use Tao. Once they were done, Mei assists Gantetsusai after becoming exhausted from the lessons by massaging his shoulders. She is then assigned to the Escape Route Securing Team. Gantetsusai suggests that they send her departing without having her wait for the Elixir Team. However, Gabimaru asks Mei if there was anything she wanted to do before leaving the island. Mei confesses that she wishes to live a normal life off the island but to also reunite with Jofuku and Rien to know why they underwent a major change in the past. Gabimaru honors Mei's request and promises to have her see the two again. Mei has a limited vocabulary when trying to speak Japanese. This is due to her earlier banishment from Lord Tensen who all developed a proficiency in speaking the language at some point in time. After being taken in by Hōko, whose race also had an understanding for Japanese as well, Mei's smattering developed during her time imitating Hōko's words. [2]

Sergeant Naomi Thomas joins the Saint Marie Police Force at the start of Series 11 as JP's replacement. She was born on a neighbouring island to Saint Marie and enrolled in the police force there where she achieved her sergeant status. However, due to the island's small size and population, Naomi had never worked on a homicide case before joining the force at Saint Marie. She is shown to be very dedicated to her job, a trait that sometimes got in the way of her professionalism, but nevertheless her enthusiasm for the job impresses her fellow officers. Her mother Catherine owns a popular local bar. Her father, Marlon Croft, who lives in the neighboring island of St. Lucia, reappears in Series 3, Episode 5, protecting his goddaughter, who's implicated in a case. After suspecting him, Camille starts reconciling with him. Yuzuriha is very fond of Sagiri and is more friendly towards her than any of her other allies of the vanguard. She was already on good terms with Sagiri ever since she allied with Gabimaru and started calling her "Sagi-rin" (さぎりん) — "-rin" being a much friendly and "cuter" way of using the honorific "-chan" (which is usually used by teenage girls). She was grateful to Sagiri for being concern for her well-being after she demanded Mu Dan to free her from his clutches, despite the fact that she was prepared to leave her behind after sensing how dangerous the Tensen was, and wanted to make sure that she could escape enemy territory along with her. After fighting together to defeat Mu Dan, the two have gotten very close, which shows on Yuzuriha's part as she would often try to invade Sagiri's personal space. Sagiri in turn views Yuzuriha as an ally she has come to trust and respect and was happy to see her alive after her life-threatening battle against Ran. A detective sergeant from France, replacing DS Florence Cassell. Madeline initially came to the island as an officer of Internal Affairs to investigate Florence's recent shooting and assess Mooney's competence as a detective, but after witnessing him in action, she affirmed that what happened to Florence wasn't his fault and accepted an offer to remain on the island as permanent DS. She leaves the island after Series 9, with Commissioner Patterson mentioning in Series 10, Episode 1 that she left Saint Marie after accepting a new position in Paris, where she also arranged for a secondment for Ruby. The reason Yuzuriha started using her body fluid ninjutsu to cover up her scars was so that she could keep her job as a kunoichi a secret from Saya whenever she came home to her. [28]
