Tactical Ploys..................................................109 HUNTER CADRE Kill TEAM.................136 Acolyte Hybrid (Trooper)............................162 Dire Avenger Exarch....................................108 Equipment ......................................................135 Neophyte Hybrid (Icon Bearer)................ 161 I generally have one to two objectives to fight over, with one command point re-roll per player per turning point. Keeping the players focused on moving, shooting, and combat. The parts that lead to the best stories. There will be time for ploys and Tac Ops later. Tactical Ploys....................................................28 Strategic Ploys.................................................58 Twistbray ...........................................................85

On the lighter end of the spectrum, there are lots of front line troops, like Poxwalkers in a Death Guard kill team. This immediately makes Harlequins a bit of an odd one out among these teams, as one of the few where you absolutely can’t build them from a single box – you will need at least two Troupes just to put enough bodies on the table. This suggests a mild sacrifice in the name of playability, since a team of 6 is probably too flimsy to stand up on its own. Player (Gunner)............................................. 119 Tactical Ploys..................................................146 The costs could be high, though. Should an operative lose all their wounds during a mission, they’ll have to make a Casualty Test at the match’s end to determine what, if any, persistent damage they sustain. Push them too far without letting them rest between missions, and that bullet wound to their skull might be a little more permanent than you had anticipated.

The Veteran Guardsmen of the ever-penitent Death Korps of Krieg are Astra Militarum soldiers from a planet that once rebelled against the Imperium, and they’ve been trying to make up for it ever since by throwing themselves carelessly into the fray against the enemies of Mankind. They’re one of two launch Kill Teams for the new edition, and they function very differently from the Compendium factions.

What Kill Team Products Are There?

In the wider galaxy, operatives are converging on the Gallowdark , a legendary space hulk newly-emerged from the warp. The next big expansion to the game is Kill Team: Into the Dark – it’s your chance to join the first wave of boarders as they seek treasure, glory, or just try to escape with their lives! Kill Team also features Tac Ops Objectives, which are drawn at the start of the game, and are secret ways of scoring victory points, on top of the usual mission objectives. There are generic Tac Ops Objectives for use with all factions, along with faction-specific Tac Ops. What Do I Need To Play Kill Team? In addition to the core rules, the Intercession Squad Kill Team will get you right into the action with a band of six powerful Primaris Intercessors or Assault Intercessors – which you can mix and match to suit your tactics. One unanswered question, currently, is whether an operator can take the same action more than once in an activation – to perform a double-move, or fight twice, for example.

The Veteran Guardsmen have a Strategic Ploy that can overcharge their lasguns, as well as a very Death Korps of Krieg-appropriate Tactical Ploy called In Death, Atonement, which lets an incapacitated but readied Veteran Guardsmen get their activation before they leave the killzone, among others. EquipmentTactical Ploys....................................................99 Spanner ...........................................................127 Genestealer (Fighter) ..................................153 Rest assured, nearly every faction* can build a team of specialist operatives with the Kill Team: Compendium supplement, which is available at the same time as the launch box.

One of the first things you’ll notice when leafing through the Pariah Nexus book is the number of new Kill Team datasheets available to the Necrons. Gone is the Cryptek option from Kill Team: Commanders , but it’s been replaced by no less than four alternatives. Tactical Ploys....................................................35 Sister of Silence Vigilator.............................63 Bloodreaper...................................................... 91 With all of this content to work through, you may be spending some time in the depths of the space hulk, so why not claim a chunk of it for yourself on a Gallowdark expedition? These narrative excursions can be neatly slotted into an existing Spec Ops campaign or used as the basis for a new operation entirely, and link several missions together into a wider struggle for control over critical territory within the hulk.

Kill Team: Octarius box contents

The list of stats for each operator is rounded out with some that will be more familiar to existing 40k or Kill Team players: Kill Team 2nd Edition’s datacards show that the new game’s units(individually called Operators) will have at least three key stats they didn’t have before:
