About this deal

The Quest Book states that “Heroes do not have routine access to shops”. This implies that instead of shopping between quests, the Heroes must wait until they enter a Hideout to shop. I can already see at this point that this will be a difficult encounter for the Heroes. Now it’s Zargon’s Turn! two plastic "candy trays" holding the minis (similar types of plastics used in MOTM, with some furniture being of a different kind like the door bases; first appearance of transparent plastics) and cards: To Chris Nadeau, Avalon Bill (sorry Bill, I only know you by your Discord name), and the rest of the Team at Avalon Hill, The Specter has the ability to cast the Dread Spell “Channel Dread” at will. At the very least, this means it can cast the spell once every turn. The “At Will” part may be a little confusing. Can this monster cast the spell outside of Zargon’s turn? I don’t think so, but we’ll have to wait to see if this is specified in the Quest Book.

Gamer Network Limited, Gateway House, 28 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DN, United Kingdom, registered under company number 03882481.Dicebreaker is owned by Gamer Network Limited, a ReedPop company and subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions Limited. Unable to move due to the tempest swirling around them, the Barbarian and Guardian Knight sit tight for this round. The Elf moves to strike the Specter assaulting her friend, the Wizard, and manages to take it out in one swing of her sword. The Wizard, visibly shaken by the encounter, remains still for this round. Finally free Elethorn from Zargon's vile clutches! The cards and Quest Book in this fantasy-filled HeroQuest expansion feature artwork that immerses you in the perilous adventure The ingredients themselves appear to be part of the treasure cards. When searching for treasure, a Hero may be able to find reagent ingredients. Thinking that the Wizard is an easy target, the Wraith glides through the bookcase and engages the Wizard. Once again the Wizard is down! This time, with no healing spells left, he breathes his last breath.

Rise of the Dread Moon marks the conclusion of a broader storyline introduced in The Mage of the Mirror, HeroQuest’s first major expansion following its official relaunch in 2020. From the official description: “As a brave knight, you're challenged to finally free Elethorn from the clutches of Zargon. Embark on dangerous quests, as you seek the aid of the Cadre of the Raven's Veil to help stop Zargon's forces of Dread from destroying the kingdom. Navigate through a dark labyrinth of waterways, an underground city, and more perilous locations. But be wary—for Zargon's forces grow ever stronger with the rise of the Dread Moon!” For comparison; the Scout = The Scout (from Frozen Horror), the Arbalist = The Crossbowman, the Glaive = The Halberdier, and the Striker = The Swordsman. A quest booklet contains 10 scripted adventures that sends a party of two to five adventurers into dangerous locales as they attempt to free Elethorn from the control of returning villain Zargon (extremely genre pulp names, both). The Commander of the Guardian Knights– This makes sense because he’s featured on the front of the box The Assasin near the Elf takes a swing and hits the Elf for 2 Body Points. The Magus Guard moves to the other end of the room and casts Tempest on the Barbarian. As a swirling vortex engulfs the Barbarian, the other Assassin takes a chance to hit the Barbarian for 1 Body Point.Side A: 8 Lunar tokens (front), 6 caltrops, 2 trap doors, 4 disguises, 2 mirrors, 4 mercenaries, 1 elf assassin, 1x "5" reputation token, 6 "shield" reputation tokens (front), 1 "plaza" tile (5x6 room)

The Barbarian is still in the grips of Fear, especially after seeing his friend die. Rage is starting to creep in, but he can’t move enough to engage the Wraith. Finally, the last reveal, a set of cards representing potions, hopefully some new potions, and some rereleases of past potions. This creates the question, are we still going to get “Equipment” cards for the potions included in this expansion? In the past expansions, the “Alchemists Shop”, was both printed on the inside cover of the quest book, and included “Equipment” cards of the potions.

First Youtube fan video unboxing has appeared (Thanks Frank!). It's in Italian and if you want to avoid spoilers (like, quest spoilers) stop the video around 3:00 minute mark, you have been warned! jump to the message where I link it. Thanks to Virg for pointing me in the right direction on this one. Update: My own spoilerific unboxing is here, with cheaper production values and shakier camera but more quest spoilers!
