He Came to Set the Captives Free

You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, The deliverance from Jesus is complete. He promised that if He sets us free we shall be free indeed. Take this Good News to the suffering people.to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. What is the captivity that Paul is thinking about when he quotes, "He led captivitycaptive and gave gifts to men" (verse 8)? The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners, To find out where Jesus’s soul went when his body was buried, we go to the Psalm which has Christ saying to his Father, "You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will you let your Holy One see corruption" (Psalm 16:10). So we see that Jesus was in a place called “Sheol”. In a moment we will see that this is not hell, the place of eternalpunishment. To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.Lord Jesus we are waiting at the Upper Room to receive our own annointing to do what you did. Bless us now, for we need this for great evangelism in Jesus name Amen.
