On me, It last upwards of 15+ hours with 6-7 hours of huge projection. ( complimented by a lady at work who was standing a couple feet away a good 10 hours after spraying ) not only is the fragrance nearly Eternal, its also Nuclear... If you spray 3 times with your normal fragrances 1 spray of 40 Knots will be equivalent. I normally spray my fragrance 2 times and 1 spray from this was almost too much. Like all Xerjoffs I've tried, the performance is insane. Projection and longevity are excellent for me, and less is typically the way to go or they can become cloying.

I have a sample that I've worn twice. It is Xerjoff, so the quality is there, I do like it but it is not setting my world on fire. In the dry down, the oceanic and gentle whirl blend with a musky, spicy, warm, and smoky hint of benzoin and amber. Their presence gives a seductive touch to the scent.It's a woody aquatic, but more woody. I really don't see the Ambre Nuit comparison till I started reading it here. I'll have to A/B to know for sure, but never crossed my mind. Colourful marine life, the glistening rays of the sun and the taste of freedom that comes from the open water is bottled in this highly unique Xerjoff perfume. Smooth Sailing is a versatile fragrance. Hence, you can apply it all year round. It fits any time of the day. But, in my opinion, the breezy-salty vibe makes it a summer day favorite. The refreshing and tidy aura infused by rum, sea salt, and aquatic accords are my favorite. I love zestful colognes, and Smooth Sailing fits my preference.If you want to smell amazing in front of your partner, then my recommendation is Yacht Mood. You can never go wrong with its sensation at heart. Another great substitute for 40 Knots Xerjoff is Ocean Scent by Sevilla Fragrances. It is not a replica but has a similar note formulation to 40 Knots.
