of its darkly humorous glory. The picture may not achieve the level of 2160p perfection as the best of the best on the market, but the feel for a solid, offering a practically perfect filmic appearance that boasts a very fine grain structure, unlike the previous Blu-ray which was defined by a morass of Every one of the well-meaning cast and crew are so enamoured by the minutiae of how they’ve painstakingly and slavishly recreated the look, the locations, the shots, the everything of the first film, even down to the directors of this – Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett – telling us with huge smiles that when they didn’t know what to do, they’d just watch the first film and ‘do their version of that’, that it soon becomes obvious this is more than just a basic remake of the first film. Starring: David Arquette , Neve Campbell , Courteney Cox , Matthew Lillard , Rose McGowan , Skeet Ulrich

The legacy bonus content – most of it you already know, if you are a collector -, was just announced. But there’s an interesting new one, amongst the special features: The previous Blu-ray release was somewhat of a disappointment, hindered largely by some unsightly artifacts and mostly looking flat in general. Thankfully, Paramount corrects that blunder with what appears to be a fresh remaster of the original elements for this Ultra HD edition, and comparatively, this HEVC H.265 encode is a godsend, showing better definition and clarity throughout. Fine lines and objects are distinct and often striking, from the threading of the costumes to the nook and crannies of the film set and various homes. compared to the overengineered Blu-ray. Hair colors dazzle, natural greens leap off the screen, and all variety of colors are solidly grounded in reality. a master prepared for some long-ago DVD release, but here the film enjoys a proper resurrection with stellar 2160p/Doby Vision video that captures

Behind the Scenes Montage– Yes, its’ really worded like that. And it delivers – it’s literally just a mashup of scenes from the shoot. Subtitles also include English (both regular and HoH), Danish, German, both Spanish types, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish. The full list of supplemental features included are featured on both the 4K and accompanying 1080p discs:

Paramount is retroactively adding the Scream movies to 4K and in a nice steelbook case to boot. Purists will complain because the case is red. Then again purists complain about anything. Me? I call ’em like I see ’em. All of the Scream movies tend to have a nice balance of daytime, sun-kissed skies juxtaposed with the dark of night (and the red of blood). With this new 4K edition, gone are some of the things that plagued the earlier DVD and Blu-ray releases. The film has a much more theatrical look and feel to it with grain being all but eliminated, increased color bandwidth and improved detail. In short, it looks the best it ever has but still falls short of a modern release (but that’s OK, we’ll give them a pass). Audio: How does it sound? Deleted Scenes (SD, 14 min) — With an optional commentary by Craven, Maddelena and Lussier, the collection is mildly interesting but adds little value to the movie.

English, EnglishSDH, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Korean, Norwegian, Russian, Swedish( less) Being the last of the 'Scream' series, part three looks expectedly better on Blu-ray than the first two, but it's still far from what it could be. artificially sharped and actually made to look worse. At this resolution, and with this master, the image capably reveals exact textures and fine point Scream film) at this original film's legacy, its novelty, influences of Halloween and Williamson's own experiences in life, the Ghostface Q&A with Cast and Crew: Included are What's Your Favorite Scary Movie? and Why Are People So Fascinated By Horror

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced Scream, Scream 2 and Scream 3 for Blu-ray release on March 29, tying in with the theatrical release of Scream 4, due out April 15. No trilogy box set has been announced at the moment, so a tetralogy (not quadrilogy) box ... At time of writing, there is no sign of the other three films (' Scream 2,' ' Scream 3,' ' Scre4m') on UHD. Sadly, it misses Wes Craven. With him at the helm, another entry would have continued to be about something else. But without him, it now becomes about him. Which, while noble, robs the film of being anything other than a soulless remake, with none of the rich vein of humour or depth that made the first film so unique and special. Nearly thirty years after the first film coined the term ‘meta’ and we’re still asked to think that naming characters after horror directors is clever? For more about Scream 3 4K and the Scream 3 4K Blu-ray release, see Scream 3 4K Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on October 4, 2023 where this Blu-ray release scored 4.0 out of 5. The Dolby Vision color grading does not push tones to the extreme, but natural greens are appropriately deep and vibrant, as is a yellow school bus,

Paramount has released the hit 1997 Horror sequel film 'Scream 2' to the UHD format, following on the heels of the studio's October 2021 UHD It's sad really when the first two movies in a series start off strong — full of laughs as well as smarts — but the last entry ends the entire franchise with a whimper. The laughs and smarts are still there, but it all adds up to a silly conclusion that takes fans to a deep, dark past. It's a plot twist that comes completely out of left field and seems far too convenient to ever be taken seriously. Then again, according to Randy (Jaime Kennedy) in a posthumous video recording, all bets are off in trilogies. The rules don't apply because the point is to explore a deep, dark past, something that changes everything we knew about the slasher series. Hence, 'Scream 3' fails at meeting the expectations set by the previous two. Audio Commentary– Director Wes Craven, producer Marianne Maddelena and the film’s editor talk about the movie. It’s informative, but nothing earth shattering. Still, considering that Craven is no longer with us – it’s nice to have. Penned by Ehren Krueger ( Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Ring, The Brothers Grimm), this sudden shift in focus away from Sidney is a bit bizarre since the closing moments reveal the world revolves around her and her mother. But as mentioned earlier, there is plenty of fun to be had in this third installment. The best scares are early on with Sidney's chilling apparitions, but they turn out not to serve much purpose except to freak out the audience. Parker Posey as Jennifer Jolie playing Gale Weathers is a great character and offers a few facetious observations about actors portraying real-life people. And there's also the fun game of name that star in a cameo with Lance Henriksen, Carrie Fisher, Roger Corman and Jay & Silent Bob of all people.

release of the original ' Scream' on the same format. New specifications include 2160p/Dolby Visionand the others appearing with mild depth behind her to the left and right; it's a very appropriate inner print and reflective of the late 90s/early 2000s There is no 1080p Blu-ray included so all extras are on the 4K disc itself.
