As part of our campaign, we conducted a survey which asked 1,000 people (500 individuals from each generation) how confident they feel when it comes to certain DIY tasks, as well as how important they think these repair jobs are and how they feel about them. This is fantastic and takes up way less room on my keys than a regular meter key. I got one for 3 other gas engineers in the family and they all love it too. Meanwhile, just over a quarter (25.6%) of respondents from these generations said they ‘actively search for upcycling or repair opportunities’. That leaves just 9.4% of Gen Z and Millennials admitting that they ‘do not like repairing things’ themselves but they ‘would like to learn’, while just 2.4% said they ‘do not like repairing things’ around the home. Here at Chums, our latest campaign takes a closer look at whether Millennials (people born between 1977 and 1995) and Generation Z (people born between 1996 and 2015) are in fact less clued up on DIY than Baby Boomers (people born between 1946 and 1964) and Generation X (people born between 1965 and 1976).

It could be assumed that since older generations have more driving experience, including having owned vehicles for longer, that these age groups are more knowledgeable when it comes to car maintenance. As part of our campaign, we specifically targeted Gen Z and Millennials to see how they would best describe their attitudes when it comes to home repairs - and the results may surprise you. Developed by industry professionals, its features include: valve grip slot; meter box key; hex bit holder/screwdriver (fitted with an N52 neodymium magnet); 10mm spanner; small side slot; large side slot; bottle opener; wire stripper; radiator bleed key; pump bleed coin tool; flat bit and pry bar; side hex-bit holder; pipe deburring tool; scribe; and carabiner on the reverse side is a bleed key. For all applications you can either use the ring as leverage, or your fingers on the nicely ergonomic triangle. In hybridizing these two species, the goal was to produce offspring with the fruit quality of the Japanese plum and the hardiness of the western sandcherry. The result was a bush form of plum with fruit good for processing that tasted much better than sandcherry but unfortunately not as good as the Japanese plum. These crosses, one of the first efforts to develop a hardy plum for northern regions, still have a place in home gardens because of their relatively small plant size. Although the fruit is also small, it is always produced abundantly and is excellent for processing: juice, jelly, jam and syrup. Most are also good for fresh eating when allowed to stay on the bush about a week after ripening, until the first sign of shriveling. The Japanese plum, generally with larger, sweeter red or yellow fruit, reaches 7.5 metres in height. Cultivated since ancient times, it spread from China to Japan and other Asian countries. It was introduced to North America in 1870. While it’s possible to do home repairs yourself, some people prefer to leave it up to someone else - and our survey looked into why. We asked our respondents the reasons behind why they might not do home repairs on their own, and here’s what we found out. In recent years, another tree known as cherry plum has flooded the market. These newer varieties are hybrid crosses of fruit bearing plum and cherry trees. The resulting fruit is larger than a cherry but smaller than a plum, approximately 1 ¼ inch (3 cm.) in diameter.

Have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term effect on their ability to carry our everyday activities Here at Plumbs, we can reupholster and cover virtually any style of chair, including armchairs, tub chairs, wing chairs, Parker Knoll chairs, recliners and wing armchairs. I have used a screwdriver bit in it and find it to be useful but it would be even better if it was slightly longer as it's a bit fiddly and if it came with a double ended screwdriver bit so you always had a flat or pozi to hand.Another N52 magnet turns the tool into a tight access or high torque screwdriver / wrench, also useful for keeping a spare bits in!! While these plum trees make beautiful ornamental trees, they are a favorite of Japanese beetles and can be short lived. They are also not drought tolerant but cannot tolerate areas that are too wet either. Your cherry plum tree care should take these factors into account. What is a Cherry Plum Tree Hybrid?
