During meditation our brainwaves slow down. In a relaxed state, the breath begins to lengthen and the brain waves begin to slow down. The ratio between Alpha and Beta signals and Theta and Delta signals change. Floating Moon Lamp with Personalisation Engraving on the Base | Handmade Magnetic Levitating Lunar lamp - SpaceSecrets

Visually Mesmerizing, Strangely Satisfying
To make his movements look more natural, he mirrors his grip on the two sides of the cloth, making the same moves with both of his hands. Designed to remain balanced in perfect equilibrium, Buda Ball finds its center resisting the forces of gravity. These days we’re stressed more than ever. Our senses are often overwhelmed by the noise of information. Buda Ball is a reminder to take a deep breath and to slow down. Ever since we have done this magical floating ball experiment, my kids have performed the experiment by themselves multiple times. Since all you need is a piece of paper, straw, tape, and of course, a ball, they can recreate this fun toy anytime. What I love is that every time my kids make one of these floating ball devices, they change the size of the cone or the length of the straw to experiment with what parameters would work best. Now, you might have seen other performances of this, probably without any cloth, making it look like the ball really defies gravity. One of the most famous shows is this one by Penn and Teller. Exactly my thought. The permanent magnet does the heavy lifting, and the small coils do the re-centering if it leaves the sweet spot. Buda Ball is perfect for your desk. It’s a mini-art installation that combines science with design providing a gentle reminder of how to find your center of gravity during turbulent times.
Take a look at the 4 through hole solder spots just below the transistors! The two opposing coils are connected in series, including wildly attached diodes. If it works in vertical, you need both an attracting and a repelling force, there is no way around it. Now, how can the ball be repelled? Three ways come to mind: How do birds and airplanes fly? They are heavier than air, but somehow their wings are able to create enough lift to allow them to fly through the air.The wonderful thing about this floating ball experiment is that there are so many variations. Some things we tried are:
Buda Ball levitates both vertically AND horizontally thanks to the carefully crafted magnetic levitation technology. I’m pretty sure they use some kind of control system to keep the (probably) magnetic ball in balance of a strong permanent magnet. For this floating ball experiment, we create an area of low pressure around the ball by blowing into the straw. When you blow in a fast thin stream (because the straw makes it thin), the fast air is able to move around the sides of the ball instead of simply pushing it upward from below. This way, the magician has full control over every single movement of the ball, while the metal rod is hidden during the entire act.
