Family-owned Ian Macleod Distillers has revived Jamaican rum brand Langs with the launch of a banana-flavoured expression in the UK. Langs Banana Rum is the first flavoured rum in Ian Macleod’s portfolio Combining a flavourful core of aged rum from Barbados with hibiscus, orange blossom, and honeybush, Suncamino boasts layers of silky sweet caramel and floral fruits – plus the distinct character of the honeybush make this a unique little treat. Langs Mango and Ginger Rum is described as having notes of mango coulis, meringue and vanilla on the nose, while the palate brings mango, peach, lime and crystallised ginger. The rum is recommended served neat, over ice, or mixed with pineapple juice. The pineapple-flavoured bottling is said to have hints of coconut, caramel and lime, and a nose of pineapple, coconut, and raisin ice cream. The palate delivers pineapple, caramel and cinnamon, followed by a finish of fruits and spiced oak. It is suggested to be consumed neat, over ice, or mixed with cranberry juice.
