About this deal

The price of the Technics EAH-AZ80 is that of a premium product, for sure – but happily, so is the specification. There are some disappointments here, but overall these are a pair of buds that deliver excellent sound quality and a fantastic fit. Neutral and clear audio is your priority: While a rather subjective topic, the frequency profile in these buds isn’t flat, and its scooped mids can only be remedied so much. With extra comfort and seamless acoustic quality, the T5M Wired In-Ear headphones are ideal for audiophiles. The T5M headphones ensure comfort due to their balanced weight, neither too bulky nor too lightweight. Each ear tip equips a 5.0mm dynamic driver that delivers audio by combining high output and full bass extension. The dynamic driver of this earphones helps to produce low and high frequency sound signals efficiently. Even worse, after 6 months of light use, the right headphone has stopped working, making these headphones completely useless. Can the Sony WF-C700N be bettered by rivals? Absolutely, but not for this money. You'll have to set your sights much farther up the food chain if you want to beat this suite of features and sound quality. For features, design and most-importantly sound quality, these cannot be bettered for this price, which makes them excellent value in our books.

You own an iPhone: For a seamless experience within Apple's ecosystem, you need to be looking to earbuds that offer a dedicated app for iOS. These Cambridge Audio buds boast levels of detail and clarity that could rival some of the best over-ear headphones. Boasting 5.8mm dynamic drivers, these earbuds offer tons of dynamism and character, with a lively presentation that will have you tapping your feet. During our testing, as we listened to Normal Song by Perfume Genius, they eked out every last drop of detail with stunning clarity. The feature-rich WF-1000XM4s have been at the top of this guide for two years now thanks to their rapid, full-bodied and eloquent sound. They're fantastic all-rounders. You want great sound: These sound brilliant and shut out the real world so well - if you want to treat yourself, then you'll really appreciate it. If you're going to be wearing your earbuds for long periods, then comfort and weight are a top priority.I've owned these headphones for 6 months. The sound quality is decent, but there is a major deign flaw. The material that encases the wires is rough, and it creates a ton of unpleasant scratching noise every time you move even slightly. This is very distracting. You're looking to save money: With so many brilliant budget earbuds out there, these are perhaps an unnecessary expense. But they are a perfect 'big present'. The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Plus earbuds have a helpful app, easy-to-use controls and boast excellent connectivity. There’s no noise cancellation on offer here, but the sound isolation is very good, provided you find a good fit with the eartips included in the box. In any case, when we had music playing, we couldn’t hear much of our surroundings. If you are looking for a pair of earphones that offer the best sound isolation, then go for Shure AONIC 3. These earphones deliver full-range sound via a single, vented balanced armature driver. They can be used for long hours without any issues as they are the smallest in the AONIC series.

The size of the XM4s has been reduced since the previous model, and the charging case is a full 40% smaller, weighing in at 41g. Positioning the buds comfortably took longer than it should have during our testing (we found them fiddly), but once we got used to them, we found them secure and easy to wear. Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. You want wireless: It goes without saying that if you've become accustomed to wireless earbuds, you're not going to be happy with these.

You really want app support: They do amazing things without a companion app (on-ear volume control, EQ, etc.) but if you want a visual cue of their battery life, no dice.

Works with any device, offering crystal-clear sound quality from a best-in-class, static-free microphoneThere's less protrusion than with Sony's more affordable buds ( Sony WF-C500, all eyes on you), because they're 37% lighter and 38% smaller than the top-tier WF-1000XM4 . It should come as no surprise then that we found these to be some of the most easy to wear, comfortable earbuds we've ever had the pleasure of wearing and they stay put for hours on end.
