Now that you’ve all seen my “small ” collection of cushion foundations, I have no choice but to tell you a little more about them! Which are my favorites, why do I like them and what do they look like in action on my skin. So here’s my best-of of Korean cushion foundations, 2021 edition! Finally, it's here, as promised: the conclusion of my Face Sunscreen Guide 2023, this time focusing on Korean sunscreens; my beloved! Once again this year, I've tried...It’s pretty light, especially considering its coverage. It’s also pretty hydrating and comfortable. It’s a shame that it emphasizes dry skin! Otherwise, this would be my favorite summer cushion, I believe. The finish is really pretty, velvety matte while still being nicely luminous, good staying power, comfortable to wear… I’m still using it quite often right now, but after I’ve prepped/moisturized my skin well 😉

The long wearing nature of this product is one of it’s best qualities. It lasts easily throughout the day (or night) without top up, and without flaking. It only begins to fade and show my skin’s redness after a commute, 5 hour teaching day, and commute home- so roughly 7 hours in total. Even then, it’s not a total mess, and only faded in areas I frequently touch, such as my chin. Because it doesn’t cake and flake, re-application is easy and gives the same finish as the initial application. My skin usually doesn’t work too well with ‘long wear’ products, as they tend to clash with my more dry patches. Surprisingly this seems to keep my face moisturised enough throughout the day to avoid the flaking, whilst still maintaining the coverage and finish.Bamboo sap to replace water for a moisturizing effect, green tea, camellia oil and arbutin for radiance and an anti-aging effect. The push down mechanism is what makes the the foundation unique. It’s convenient, hygienic, controllable and innovative. The only downside is that you can’t see how much is left. You can, however, buy refills for the foundation and concealer at a cheaper price to the original product. I love that about many Korean base products. The brand talks about an improved adherence to stand up to the impact of a mask, and it’s true that especially for a glowy finish, this cushion holds up pretty well despite the mask rubbing. It’s also very easy to reapply so you can touch up areas damaged by the mask easily! Semi-matte luminous, it leaves the skin fresh and moisturized. It’s a fairly natural “glow,” not too much. It feels super fresh when applied, very moisturizing. It’s great for dry and sensitized skin! You can feel it on the skin, but I think dry or dehydrated skin will appreciate it. It looks great as well. With my skin type, I have a slight preference for the Matte version but this Glow version is great too! And it has skincare ingredients in it 🙂 You can feel it a bit, depending on how much you’ve used. It’s pretty comfortable and moisturizing though.

The compact itself is a smooth rectangular shape, and lighter to hold than I expected. It has a magnetic clasp on the closing, and so far (bear in mind it’s been almost permanently in my handbag since I received it, I’ve been using it so much), there are no scratches on the case. My shade: #4 Beige (according to their description, I should have gotten Petal, but it looked quite pink). An eye contour cream with vitamin C that targets the signs of ageing and fatigue, while being suitable for even the most sensitive skin. That's the tempting promise o... The compact of the Layering Cover Cushion is bigger than the one from the Neo Matte, so it doesn’t fit.
