About this deal

Dav Pilkey is the author and illustrator of the Dog Manseries. You may recognize his name from another popular children’s series: Captain Underpants, which follows the misadventures of students George and Harold as they fight crime with their school principal-turned-superhero. In college, Dav met a teacher who encouraged him to write and illustrate for kids. He took her advice and created his first book, World War Won, which won a national competition in 1986. Dav made many other books before being awarded the California Young Reader Medal for Dog Breath (1994) and the Caldecott Honor for The Paperboy (1996). Meanwhile, in Fish Jail, Flippy was reading a story to the other fish, recalling the events from " Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties". After he was done an officer came and tells Flippy the mayor is on the phone, and the mayor tells Flippy due to Li'l Petey's research in proving Flippy innocent, he is now free. As the officer brings Flippy over to fill out the paperwork, breaking news appears on the TV that happens to be in the fish jail building. In the broadcast, Sarah reports on the Barky McTreeFace Crisis, and the 22 tadpoles controlling it. When asking Chief how it happened, he tries to pin it on Dog Man, but Sarah tells Chief it's his fault, too (due to the fact he told Sarah what could go wrong with Dog Man in charge of collecting the Supa Brain Dots earlier in Chapter 4). In response to this, Chief tells Sarah mistakes were made and he puts Dog Man in charge of fetching those 22 tadpoles, and hence, sends Dog Man out. But Sarah tells Chief to help Dog Man. He agrees but asks who will help him. Sarah and Zuzu look at each other, and Sarah tells Zuzu it's up to them and follows Chief and Dog Man. As Chief this is going to be great, the officer in the fish jail and Flippy look at each other in despair. Meanwhile at town, Sarah, Chief, and Dog Man are in the nets they used to battle the tadpoles, and they're up in the sky, thanks to the tadpoles' psychokinetic powers. But Flippy flies in and cuts them free. Then little petey comes and says ITS SUPA BUDDY TIME!!! Dog Man:A new superhero with the head of a dog and body of a man, is here to fight crime and keep his city safe. But can he resist the tempting allure of chasing the mailman?

Dog Man: Fetch-22 got its name because in the book, there are 22 tiny tadpoles which have roles as former antagonists in the book. It is also a reference to Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. While Petey's re-evaluated what matters most, Li'l Petey is struggling to find the good in the world. Despite looking like an ordinary elderly woman in a fairy costume, she is able to fly. This is due to the help of the 22 tadpoles. When the tadpoles lost their psychokinetic powers, she lost this ability.

Chief: Chief is the leader of the city police department. He has a hot temper but, underneath his fiery personality, he cares a lot about his friends. Fetch-22 is set to come out December 20th, just in time for the holidays! While little is known about this volume yet, it’s sure to be just as fun as previous books in the series. Molly is a pale green tadpole with mind powers. She looks how the other 21 tadpoles looked before they became frogs. She appears in the following books:

Although Pilkey hasn’t yet announced anyreleases for 2020, the series is so beloved among elementary students that we imagine Fetch-22 isn’t the last we’ll see of this crusading canine. Are There Any Dog man Games or Toys? Molly is the vice president of the club, with Li'l Petey as the president, who are both working on their comic, Squid Kid and Katydid. While the sentence structure is simple and concise, Pilkey displays a sense of sophistication, including clever puns and wordplay, as well as a clear mastery of sequential art, making this an ideal option for both reluctant and more advanced readers.” Brawl of the Wild: This book begins with an unlikely person in the pound: our hero! When Dog Man is jailed for a crime he didn’t commit, can Cat Kid prove that he’s innocent?Molly's birth mother is unknown, but when the Fair Fairy came, she assumed she was her mom. Eventually, when the Fair Fairy tried to get her and the other 22 tadpoles to stop calling her "Mommy", Dog Man accidentally sent a wagon full of all the Supa Brain Dots in the city rolling down a hill and into the pond. The Supa Brain Dots then gives Molly and the other tadpoles mind powers. The Fair Fairy teams up with them to take over the city, because the Supa Brain Dots also made Molly and the Tadpoles evil, too. Later in the book, she meets Cat Kid, who tries to get her to not be evil by befriending her. Molly then agrees to be friends, and becomes good from that point onward, and even joins Cat Kid's Comic Club. After she was fired, the Fair Fairy came to a pond near a tree plotting her revenge. Suddenly, she heard a voice from the pond, and met the 22 tadpoles. Said tadpoles almost immediately imprinted on her, and started calling her "Mommy". Enraged, the Fair Fairy left in a huff, but the tadpoles started following her, after developing psychokinetic powers from overdosing on Supa Brain Dots.

Li'l Petey gets caught in some family drama in the eighth Dog Man book from worldwide bestselling author and artist Dav Pilkey. Dog Man: Dog Man (aka “The Bark Knight”) is half-dog, half-man superhero who protects his city from all kinds of dastardly villains. He is friendly and playful, but when danger arises he’ll do anything he can to save the day.Downward Dog calling the Fair Fairy "dude" might be similar to how Marcie from the Peanuts comic strip calls Peppermint Patty "sir", even though she is actually a girl. It is unknown why she didn't become a frog like her siblings, but it may be because she still has her psychokinetic powers. Molly and Melvin's Siblings are the former secondary antagonists of Dog Man: Fetch-22. They later appear in Dog Man: Grime and Punishment as (grown to baby frog size except for Molly) frogs learning about adverbs, as minor characters, and the secondary tritagonists of the Cat Kid Comic Club (book). On the news, Sarah Hatoff reports that a drug company has recalled all jars of Supa Brain Dots all over the stores in every city, but Chief tells them that Dog Man, his most trusted officer, is collecting the Supa Brain Dots from every store he can find in the city. Meanwhile, the Fair Fairy is walking through the park, angry that Sam (or Larry, as she likes to call him even though he hates it) fires her. She hatches a plan to make things fair for her which will help her get her revenge. She sits down near a lake and says "Mirror, Mirror, by the Tree....who's the fairest? Is it me?" Someone says "yeah", and a Tadpole pops out of the lake and stares at the Fairy Fairy. One by One, 21 more tadpoles pop up, with the Fair Fairy counting them, wondering why are they calling her their mom. As soon as she reaches 22, she bursts into tears and then yells at Downward Dog to stop calling her "Dude". Meanwhile, Li'l Petey and Petey are walking to Cat Jail to meet Grampa. Petey can't believes that Li'l Petey talked him into visting Grampa. He knows that Grampa will just betray them again, but Li'l Petey just tells Petey that maybe they should just give him another chance, with Petey saying no to that. Soon, they arrive at Cat Jail, where Grampa is concocting a sleep gas. Soon, the prison guard comes in Grampa's cell and tells him that he has 2 vistors. Before he goes, he fills a red balloon with his sleeping gas. Soon, Petey and Li'l Petey arrive at the door of the visting room. Li'l Petey is pleased to see Grampa again, but however Petey is so not pleased. Grampa gives Li'l Petey a red Balloon, then gets a pin and a gas mask out. He puts on the mask as he pops the balloon, and Petey and Li'l Petey collapse to the ground, asleep as Grampa whispers, "Don't worry, it's just a harmless sleep gas. And by the time you wake up, I'LL BE FREE!!" Chapter 5: A Buncha Stuff That Happened Next [ ]
