Oo that’s cozy, beautiful and quintessential middle eastern. I find it similar to Slow Explosions by Imaginary Authors, only better in performance and the petrol note stays in perfume territory! My all time very favorite mens/women perfume and, I own over 20 different fragrances for men, and ACQUA DI PARM OUD cologne for men 2012 version and Eau de Parfum unisex 2019 version it's hands down my signature fragrances I get compliments on both of them all the time. They both smell very, very similar my friends, co-workers, and even my doctor loves this fragrance. This fragrance/s reminds me of fresh cut wood perfect for day, night and, even work.☝️ 👍 Except the price is very high I spent years waiting/saving to buy it and, just this past Spring I finally bought both version of this fragrance. After getting into the brand with the classic Colonia, I tested a few other ADP at my local store. I was very intrigued by how Oud would smell with this brand and I was quite surprised to find such a captivating and addictive fragrance. AdP Oud is a masterpiece - a very unique take on oud while being beginner friendly at the same time. Unlike most oud fragrances that give off a heavy, dark, funky vibe, the oud in here is complemented by just the right amount of citrusy, sweet and clean notes, with almost a little bit of aquatic feel, making it fresh, soft, airy and extremely smooth. It's still somewhat of an acquired taste but is very pleasant and light for an oud scent.

With AdP Oud you smell "clean", the fragrance somehow smells like you've just had a shower or a bath, there's a hint of "soapiness" in the smell. It's done quite discreetly though, and it's up to the wearer whether this soapy quality is a positive or not. Personally, I'm kind of on the fence, part of me really likes this blend and part isn't sure. I walked into a high end fashion store, headed to their fragrance section and the sales guy there asked if i was looking for anything in particular. I said well i'm looking for a special oud fragrance that screams bold, sexy, loud and smells damn good. I get a TF Ombré Leather vibe for it - that’s one of the other “heavier” scents I don’t mind, but this is much better imo. Smoother. TF OL I find can be a little bit too heavy and harsh for me, sometimes almost a bit too cloying. This not at all. Elegant and classic, Acqua di Parma Colonia was created in 1916 and since then has managed to seduce the senses of both men and women. A unique and naturally fresh sensual scent that will linger for hours.This is excellent. I sort of get a faint ambergris aspect to this but yep, it's heart is oud. The top notes sort of alluded me. after 20 minutes or so the oud is more prominent and leather starts to come out and in the base its leather oud combo which is so elegant and sexy ! Also, what other fresh, oud-based scents on the market should I look at next? I've singled out Stephane Humbert Lucas Generation 2022 and I already tried Chopard's Aigle Imperial (which I hated). Initial love reaction from the opening. And this is from a guy that is not that fond of Parma perfumes or OUD in any way. This is a unique scent that smells like citruses (lots of earthy orange) mixed with leather, patchouli and loads oud and amyris.OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, casual, clubbing. This is not an office-friendly fragrance. Gentle, slightly leathery and finely rounded oud meets a juicy orange! This is an oud fragrance that can easily be worn in summer. Usually i don't like the smell of the coriander's, but when they combined it with oud making it fantastic. The smell of the leather note it's not too strong or pungent, i think the cedar and sandalwood soothing it. it's start up with clean and lightly citruses notes, then slightly fades behinds amazing combination of the resin and the coriander, with leathery, woody, earthy notes at base composed of musk, leather, cedar, and sandalwood. How on Earth does this not have rose in it? As in, if it were listed, I would consider rose the most dominant note in there. Not nearly as much as it is in Oud Touch (which is completely rose-dominant), but obviously a more rounded variation on the rose/oud theme.Unique men deserve a unique fragrance, give Acqua di Parma's blend a try... Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza Eau de Cologne I'm so glad it randomly resurfaced today because this is so fantastic. It's fresh, aromatic, spicey, sour (bee-waxy sour), dry and resinous all at the same time. Oud perfumery blended very smoothly with musks and citruses, to be very simple. It smells definitely like a western style of perfumery, definitely in the sort of way I described before. You can feel very clean, almost aquatic texture of the formulation. Complex musk accord with Muscone, Ambrettolide, Ethylene Brassylete, maybe Musk Ketone and linear musks, Cashmeran, Bergamot EO, Linalool, Ethyl-Linalool, Hedione, Lily of the Valley raw materials like Magnolan, Liliestralis and Sandalwood raw materials to give further smoothness and richness, and, obviously, expertly chosen other naturals. - this is what I have imagined. Linalool<--->Ethyl-Linalool balance help to enhance the natural olfactive profile. I have heard also that Cashmeran and Kephalis help to build oud accord in perfumes. This is Italian perfumery in its finest. You should dress sharp, to wear this. It is a marvel, in my opinion. Absolutely fits to my style and taste. 10/10
