About this deal

Founded by skin-therapist Jane Wurwand in 1986, Dermalogica offers professional-grade skincare to therapists for use on clients during treatments and retail formulas to treat your skin at home. Breakout control (she recommended as I get the odd breakout but didn't get a sample do not sure how well this works) - I haven't used this but have used their spot treatment which works by drying up the spot. It is very intensive, I would say too intensive. A bottle lasts forever though. Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): antioxidants that help reduce free radical activity. Had a skin mapping last week at dermalogica and they recommended the following. I am thinking of getting a couple from their range but can't afford everything at this price range! I really liked the products but just wondered what you would recommend from their range or whether there is an as good cheaper alternative!

Beyond using the ingredients we’ve outlined, there are a few further steps you can take to maintain smooth skin going forward. First of all, never skip your cleansing step. “Cleansing helps keep pores clear and tight in addition to washing away blemish-causing bacteria,” says Dr. Yadav. skin hydrating booster ( think this sounds good for the dehydration) This is my favourite product in the world. I use it once a year when the weather turns cold. It is too expensive for me to continue using year round and because it really works, I don't believe I need to use it continuously. I highly recommend it. My face feels and (I think( looks more youthful after using it. A curated skincare routine full of products designed to help you achieve your skin goals will go a long way towards treating rough and bumpy skin. As mentioned, exfoliants are key. “Exfoliants help break down the bonds that keep dead skin cells from shedding and decongest pores,” says Dr. Yadav. Similarly, you need retinoids, as they promote new collagen production. Apply over damp face and throat with light, upward strokes. Best when used following Multi-Active Toner. Can be applied over or mixed with prescribed Dermalogica Concentrated Booster for additional results.Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): Antioxidants that help reduce free radical activity and defend skin Malva Sylvestris (Mallow), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) and Arnica Montana Flower: Extracts that help soothe and hydrate the skin

Dr. Geeta Yadav is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Facet Dermatology in Toronto, Canada. Lastly, wear sunscreen every single day, no excuses. “Sun exposure is the dominant cause of early skin aging,” says Dr. Yadav. “That includes fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and discoloration, all of which can contribute to a bumpy or rough skin texture.”

You may notice that your skin feels drier and tighter—and even appears flaky—when using exfoliants and retinoids, especially at first. That’s normal—just support your skin health with humectants and emollients, which are ingredients commonly found in moisturizers that help rehydrate and soften. “Maintaining moisturized skin while using these potentially dehydrating ingredients is essential to smoother skin,” Dr. Yadav says. Well-formulated skin-tightening creams “ include ingredients that build collagen or prevent the breakdown of collagen and antioxidants to help with cell regeneration,” says Dr. Collins. What to look for? Vitamin A derivatives like retinoids, collagen-boosting peptides, antioxidants like niacinamide, coenzyme Q10, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and prevent collagen breakdown. Yes, Dermalogica is a medical grade skincare brand catering in treating all skin types and conditions and delivering effective, lasting results. A few of our favourite and top products from Dermalogica are their Biolumin-C Gel Moisturiser, Daily Glycolic Cleanser, Clear Start™ Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash and multi-active toner. Some of these products key ingredients include Vitamin C for brighter skin and improved barrier function, lavender which is a natural antiseptic that will soothe and purify skin and Hyaluronic Acid to provide long lasting hydration.

Dermalogica is a cruelty-free brand that does not test on animals, and it has received recognition from various organisations for its commitment to ethical practices. Not to sound like a broken record, but you can expect subtle results from a skin-tightening cream. And it likely won’t happen overnight (unless you’ve chosen a product that provides a temporary tightening effect). Dr. Lal says you likely won’t notice long-term results for at least 12 weeks and the maximum result you can expect is an itty-bitty one-millimeter reduction in skin looseness. Dr. Hartman recommends washing your face twice daily (morning and evening), especially when wearing sunscreen or makeup. “If you feel you need to, you can double cleanse, first by using an oil-based cleanser, and then cleansing again with a water-based cleanser,” he suggests. The term “exfoliants” covers a lot of ground. Two of the most familiar exfoliant categories are physical or manual exfoliants—which is just a fancy word for “scrub.” Scrubs can be made of salt, sugar, crushed seeds or shells, or man-made beads, and work by physically sloughing off dead skin.Don’t limit yourself to just one kind of skincare product—there’s a wide range of options out there to help you achieve your goal of smoother skin. “You can find skin-smoothing products in nearly every format, from cleansers, to serums, moisturizers and more,” says Dr. Hartman. intensive eye repair ( looking for some kind of eye cream ) I have used this and went to other products afterwards (reasoning that any cream would be better than none). I am terrible at remembering to use eye cream though.

ultra calming mist ( didn't rate this that much) I have never tried this but I may wrongly assume a water spritzer would do a similar job? The most popular type of exfoliant amongst dermatologists are chemical exfoliants, which are usually acids that fall into two categories: Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHA). AHAs work at the surface level to remove dead skin cells, while BHAs go into the pore to do the same thing (which is ideal if you have congested pores). “If you have dull skin, products with AHAs like glycolic and lactic acids can be great options,” says Dr. Hartman. “Salicylic acid is a BHA that works well for smoothing skin with acne as it minimizes irritation.” Both are found in the La Prairie Cellular 3-Minute Peel.

It’s also worth looking for antioxidants, which fight off the free radicals responsible for damaging your skin. Common antioxidants include vitamin C, vitamin B3 (aka niacinamide), ferulic acid, and green tea.
