The Ryobi charger got a 5.0Ah battery to full capacity in just over an hour (Image credit: Steven Jenkins) Giving the Ryobi a run out One slight annoyance is that when you twist the strimmer head around for edging, it isn't vertical in a normal standing position (I'm 6'), so the tendency is to cut inwards when edging, rather than straight down, i.e. the line wants to undercut the grass at the edge, which tends to leave strim marks all down the soil edge of the lawn. I'm sure this improves with practice, but I noticed that the next model up has a variable tilt on the strimmer head, which I guess would mean this isn't an issue.
