About this deal

This isn’t the end of the world; historically speaking marines are supposed to come in all different heights, so this should be fine, though it’ll be a bit weird that your taller marines all also happen to be wearing Corvus armor. To that end, I’d note that the helmets are at least very interchangeable, and the Mk IV helmets look great on the new Mk VI marines. Comparing Mk VI marines to other power armor dorks This upgrade kit can be used to customise your Space Marines with alternative heads bearing the imagery of the XIII Legion. The kit includes nine helmeted heads, each with an eagle-winged face plate and crest, plus one bare head. Spread these components around your army and combine them with transfers to capture that signature XIII Legion aesthetic, or outfit entire squads to mark them out as elite Legion Veteran Squads. Ultramarines MKIII Veteran Torsos: December 17th, 2022 This upgrade kit comprises 10 resin components and is designed to be assembled with the MKIII Tactical Squad set, MKIV Tactical Squad set, and miniatures clad in MKV armour, which are all sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints. Raven Guard MKIII Shoulder Pads: February 3rd, 2023 The kit includes nine helmeted heads in three different designs, each with a sinister trench spike and industrial rivets, as well as two heads designed for Sergeants – one bare head with a rebreather, and one helm with a unique grille and imposing spike. Spread these components around your army to add some XIV Legion flavour, or outfit entire squads for an elite, unified look. Night Lords torsos, replete with gothic designs and grisly trophies. Death Guard MKVI Shoulder Pads: October 28th, 2022

In the meantime, you can find a scale comparison with different models from my collection. From the plastic MkIII and MkIV to Astra Militarum, Chaos Space Marines and Primaris Space Marines, everything is there: MKIV ‘Maximus Armour’ offers a balance of agility and durability, and finds itself right at home in the Legions of Ultramar, which are renowned for their strategic flexibility. Customised by the artificers of the 500 Worlds, these MKIV torsos feature additional armour plating over their power cables – which leaves plenty of room for fancy sculpted Legion motifs. Ultramarines Veteran Helmets: December 17th, 2022 The Iron Hands power through with mechanised infantry, while the Night Lords specialise in terror – let your enemies know what they’re in for with these thematic shoulders and torsos. Iron Hands Cataphractii Shoulder PadsComplete the look with a set of 10 resin shoulder pads. These are proudly emblazoned with the heraldry of Ferrus Manus – personally, if we’d managed to dunk our hands in molten metal, we wouldn’t want to be reminded of it, but Ferrus is clearly made of sterner stuff. Iron Hands Cataphractii Shoulder Pads: November 11th, 2022 Well, the answer is that it depends. Generally speaking, the Mk VI modes are chunkier and lankier than the older plastic Mk III and Mk IV models (i.e. the Prospero and Calth marines), but this is most prominent on the “walking” Mk. VI marine, who stands substantially taller in a similar fashion to how the Deathwatch marines are taller than the older squatting tactical marines. The “walking” Mk VI vs the older plastic marks Featuring a total of 60 special weapons of six different types – 10 each of flamers, plasma guns, meltaguns, rotor cannons, volkite charger, and volkite calivers, each with five slightly different designs – the Special Weapons Upgrade Set will give you plenty of options for turning your Mark VI Space Marines into Tactical Support Squads. Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set – Missile Launchers and Heavy Bolters This upgrade kit comprises 10 resin components and is designed to be assembled with the MKVI Tactical Squad set, which is sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints. Ultramarines MKVI Heads: January 21st, 2023

This upgrade kit can be used to customise Legionaries from the MKVI Tactical Squad set with new heads, replacing the standard helmets with Ultramarines-specific headgear. The kit includes nine helmeted heads in three different designs, each with armour panel seams and alternative grille pattterns, as well as two heads designed for Sergeants – one bare head with noble features and a laurel wreath, and one beaked helm with an impressive transverse crest. Spread these components around your army to add some XIII Legion flavour, or outfit entire squads for an elite, unified look. Ultramarines MKVI Shoulder Pads: January 21st, 2023 For a broader size comparison, the new Mk VI marines are about the same size and height as the current plastic Chaos Space Marines, though slightly shorter than the Thousand sons and Death Guard, and less bulky than either. They sit about a head shorter than Primaris marines. Build The Age of Darkness box includes 40 Space Marines in Mark VI power armour – and they’ll soon be available separately in a box of 20, meaning these weapon upgrade sets are a perfect one-stop armoury. Kratos Heavy Assault Tank This set of 11 resin heads allows you to accessorise and upgrade your own sons of Perturabo with an extra twist of Legion flair. On top of nine skull-faced helmets in three different designs, there’s a cyborg bare head and an appropriately-decorated helm for officers – why waste bolter shells when you can recycle them into a fancy crest?Everything mixes in fine, I was able to use bits from the other Heresy plastics, 40k first-born marines and both the new and old Chaos Space Marine kits. One other thing to note though, if you are mixing kits, is that the torsos have little notches on them so the recommended arms line up properly. Cut these off if you want to use other arms, but just be sure to manually line up them up and dry fit a weapon if you’re not gluing the weapon in place before painting. This upgrade kit can be used to customise Legionaries from the MKIII Tactical Squad set with shoulder pads bearing the raven glyph of the Raven Guard. The kit includes 10 shoulder pads, each bearing a raised, sculpted icon that makes them simple to paint in the Legion’s signature colours, with a heavy, reinforced design to suit MKIII ‘Iron Armour’. Spread these components around your army and combine them with transfers to capture that signature XIX Legion aesthetic, or outfit entire squads for an elite, unified look. Raven Guard Veteran Torsos: February 3rd, 2023 Company Command Squad • Reclusiam Command Squad • Captain ( Primaris Captain) • Lieutenant ( Primaris Lieutenant • Vanguard Lieutenant) • Company Ancient ( Bladeguard Ancient) • Company Champion There’s also a range of pintle-mounted combi-weapons, and more equipment than you can shake a mechandendrite at – including a frankly terrifying dozer blade. It will also have rules for use in Warhammer 40,000. Deimos Pattern Rhino

For close combat Tactical marines do have a few options, being able to take either a normal bayonet, a chain bayonet, and the choice to take chainswords. The bayonet and chain bayonet are notably the cheaper options at 1 and 2 points per model, respectively, while the chainsword is much more expensive at 5 points per marine, making them 50% more expensive each. But which is the better option? Some thoughts: White Dwarf 477 has an aggressive appetiser for anyone looking forward to the upcoming Codex: World Eaters. This XII Legion special features lore, hobby tips, and a gore-soaked showcase, as well as interim rules for using these close-combat monsters in games of Warhammer 40,000 – ideal for whetting your bloodlust ahead of their eventual release. Welcome to our new series on the units of the Legiones Astartes! This series will serve as a prelude to our deeper dives on each legion. In these articles we’ll cover the units that every Legiones Astartes army can field, how they operate, how you might want to equip them, and what you want to point their guns/combat weapons at on the table. These have the classic feel, which is always something we like to see! Emperor’s Children Forge World Upgrades I can understand your frustration, but i would be surprised, if GW will change the existing 40k-marines, especially since they still seem to replace them over time completely with Primaris. I think it’s an typical product-evolution, where a new design-guideline (or scale-guideline) over time evolves. For comparison, look at the apple computers; they never get it done to have one line-up with all machines in the same design, there’s usually allways one or two models with old designs).Ave Dominus Nox! The Night Lords are a twisted Legion, using terror tactics to instill fear and undermine enemy morale. The Legion icon is a sinister skull surrounded by spread bat wings, a common motif among the VIII Legion.
