About this deal

Entry-level rotary razors do seem to fare better with hairs that grow in different directions though. I’ve been using electric shavers exclusively for the past 20 years and have tried pretty much everything in terms of technique and electric shavers. And that’s because a travel shaver will be used sparingly while I’m traveling, so it won’t get nearly as much use as my main, regular shaver. First of all, if your budget is limited, there are more affordable options below, like the Series 8 or the Panasonic Arc 4. So these would be in my opinion the main things to keep in mind when choosing an electric shaver for traveling.

It’s still possible to give an electric razor as a gift to your husband or father. It would be a worthy present that is: While your only viable option for a rotary razor is Philips (Norelco), there are a lot of options from Braun, Panasonic, Wahl, Andis, Xiaomi and Remington in the case of foil shavers. Finding a suitable foil shaver for your needs While the circular motions will make up the bulk of your shave, you aren’t limited by any means to them.I hope, you have already chosen a modern, feature-rich device. Waterproof electric razors are beneficial. They meet all your shaving needs. Foil shaver for pubic hair might look like a trimmer or body groomer. These devices come with several useful attachments.

But what about the other type of shaver? A rotary shave is the other main electric option, with three or more heads that cover the oscillating blades on the shaver head, moving in circular motions across your face. This particular type is better for speed, as the larger head covers a bigger portion of your cheek, but it can sometimes result in a less precise shave, as it’s harder to get a clean edge around goatees, sideburns or styled facial hair. It may also train your hairs into circular designs, making it more uncomfortable to shave smoothly if you decide to switch up to a traditional razor. In my personal experience, Arc 5 shavers outperform even the Series 9/Pro when it comes strictly to the closeness of the shave. I consider a hair trimmer to be really useful. In fact, whenever I travel for more than 3 to 4 days, I always bring along a travel shaver that’s fitted with one. And while I do think one’s expectations should be realistic — these are compact, less-advanced razors — you should still be able to get a decent shave. The Panasonic ES-CV70 is currently my travel razor of choice and for my needs, it is clearly the best.First of all, I always find it much easier to shave using a shaver with a slimmer head. For example, I’ll have to do a lot of extra work using a Panasonic Arc 5 as opposed to a Braun Series 7. The latter has only 3 cutting elements and thus it’s a lot smaller and easier to maneuver compared to the 5 blade Panasonic. The Series 7 (and Braun razors in general) are also better than other foil razors at catching difficult facial hair, like the ones that stay flat on the skin or grow in different directions.
