Our respected colleague Sandra has described briefly all five of the Atelier des Ors perfumes in a previous article. For my review, I chose one of the golden five, Lune Féline Atelier des Ors, for its especially alluring and sultry character. The creators describe it as a magnetic star, attracting and seducing. I do not know how stars may guide or pull behind them a ray of light – but perfumes work differently. We were like kids and bears, salivating profusely to the sweet temptation. Bottle: It's the same bottle, to me it's an 8 - on par with Roja, Amouage etc. I might be giving them too much here even. The third wave, rounded and settled like a return to bed, is balanced and atemporal, just enough of everything to be both familiar and perpetually noticeable: the vanilla is just, the woods are finally polished, the balsams are mellowed and the spices ground.” Legend has it that gold was created by colliding of stars, their radiant start dust was scattered across the sky and fell to earth in as the most precious material of them all. Sillage: It's a bit hard for me to rate this still, even after 2 days of full-wears, but I believe the EDP is a 6 - it will be noticeable for 3-4 hours at arm's length; the extrait is likely to get at least 6 hours at arm's length, I'd give it an 8. Then the panther chooses its prey, and the cycle repeats. Lune Féline from Atelier des Ors proves that some part of the legend was true. The sweet smell of vanilla, cardamom, styrax and musk can attract not only four-legged creatures, but women and men alike. Scent: Extrait is an 8.5, EDP is a 9. The original [EDP] keeps the best parts of the scent in tact both in the air and on skin.Dark, tropical, deeply mature vanilla opens on my skin, warm and dense and wonderful, not shearing the bean around all those to which it should leave the way it wants the pyramid. Longevity: Extrait will give 10-12 hours at a relevant strength level, original I'd estimate 7-8 hours. So extrait gets a 9, EDP gets a 7. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that we are dealing with two very different cat characters: "Lune Féline" develops into a somewhat sedate, but beautiful Persian cat with a well-balanced heart note, in which Styrax and fine woods in particular convey a calm down-to-earth quality. "The Bewitching Yasmine" on the other hand is a riot-brushed oriental girl, who prefers to tear around the place and sometimes hits her claws into one or the other nose. With Jasmine, women and men can be even or not! Conclusion: even though I can perceive the vanilla after about 30 minutes on the second day of testing, the sour wood pile spoils the fragrance for me in such a way that despite beautiful vanilla, there is no desire whatsoever to want to own this fragrance.

Lune Feline opening and dry down are very different. It starts with a blast of red pepper, almost makes me sneeze, but later becomes cozy sweet woody fragrance . I’d say it’s my third favorite Atelier des Ors. I later bought Pérubore and was horrified: the soft bubbling tablets were replaced by soft capsules containing a piercing lavender eucalyptus oil, horrible. She avoided me, the cat, for the whole 14 days, eyeing me from afar, suspicious, as it seemed to me. Seductive vanilla, dark animalic musk, balsamic (smoky styrax and Peruvian balsam) and gourmet notes can be considered part of the Lune Feline sweet fluid magnet. Such sweet perfumes attract the noses of people with a sweet tooth at first, then their hands and at last their soul. That's how they escape being upset by squandering their money on sweets and measuring those sweet moments of happiness in new handbags, new shoes or summer days in Barcelona.It may be due to the warm summer that "Lune Féline", as a winter fragrance, does not give a hint of anything bright or green on my skin, that the base already appears in my head and competes with the outside warmth.
