About this deal

Maintenance is the last thing you want to do in any power tool. But with Husqvarna 455 Rancher you don’t need to worry much about it. Except for the fact that it’s been in the garage for a long time. For any power tool to be in good condition, it’s imperative to run it several repeated times. Well firstly, we're pretty good at what we do. In fact, we'd class ourselves as experts. With more than 60 years experience supplying lawnmowers to both home users and professionals, we know what we're talking about. We pride ourselves on our high levels of customer service and we're happy to provide help and support throughout the process, from your initial decision making to after sales, servicing, repairs and spare parts. The service we're offering is a complete one, and unlike some other companies, we are specialists.

This advanced feature allows you to adjust the chain and/or bar without being exposed to the sharp cutting chains. All it requires is the flat head screwdriver and adjust the chain accordingly. Inertia-activated Chain Brakes Most people forget to mention it as one of the main features. Air purge is what makes it easy to start the cold engine of the chainsaw. It is mostly preferred as a primer bulb or primer button. There have been a great many versions of the 455 since it first came out in 2004, replacing the Husqvarna 55. The version pictured above is the NEW 2023 Husqvarna 455 Rancher. The Husqvarna 455 Rancher is a good all-rounder saw. No, it’s not the 550 or 562 XP, but it’s a decent homeowner chainsaw.

Technical Specifications

When looking out for a new chainsaw, it’s always important to be clear about what you will be using it for, and how often will you use it. The Husqvarna 455 rancher is perfect for homeowners or anyone looking for a saw for part-time use. Arborists or professionals prefer choosing the higher model of Husqvarna chainsaws for better power and execution. If it’s gunna be a heavy use saw I’d spend the few extra dollars on a 550 or 562 XP. Or find a used XP on marketplace or something. If you already have the 455 run it. They are great saws for firewood. Just won’t stand up to the abuse like like an XP. What concerns the user is how well it cuts. Well, as a premium model it does reflects perfection. Husqvarna 455 rancher lives out the expectation and delivers you the optimum result. Along with the power, the x-torq engine in the 455 makes it an attractive prospect. A high-performance power that doesn’t harm the environment is always better than just high performance. Keeping in mind the impact carbon emissions makes on the environment, this designated feature gives off fewer emissions.

Since chains and bars are the business product of chainsaws, it’s imperative to keep an eye on them. The detachable arm option of this chainsaw allows you to adjust or replace it when needed. Unlike other old models, there is a side-mounted chain tensioner option on the 455 Rancher. Whatever Husqvarna 455 version you have or are looking at buying, know that they’re all decent chainsaws. But keep in mind there are 20 years between the first models and today’s models, so there are definitely some differences in how they look, perform, and feel. 455 Rancher Vs 455 e-series Rancher

Part Type

Husqvarna 455 Rancher comes with a smart start technology that helps in the smooth start of the motor. Combined choke/stop control is there for the immediate shut down of the engine – just in case. Easy Maintenence The side mounted chain tensioner enables chain adjustment to be completed in a swift and hassle free manner and the adjustable oil pump allows one to set the precise level of chain lubrication required. Went from a 20” bar to a 16” on my 455. Noticeable difference in performance. Don’t really need the longer bar if cutting 12 to 14″ rounds and the saw seems much peppier. For example, the difference between the 455 Rancher and 455 e-series Rancher is that the latter has a toolless chain tensioner. That’s the only difference between the two saws and what we assume e-series means. However, if you have a 455 e-series Rancher that has regular bar nuts, that just means it was produced once this designation stopped meaning anything (my Husky 450 e-series is an example of this). 455R Specs And Features Engine

The air filtration system has been well documented in the 455 Rancher. The centrifugal air cleaning system is so designed in the chainsaw that it swirls the air around the filter to keep the dust away. In a way, it automatically removes the dust and debris that tend to clog the air filters away before reaching it. The 455 Rancher is not a light chainsaw with 13.2lbs. This means it is not recommended to those who are not comfortable using heavy machinery. Are There Any Alternatives? Stihl MS 291It’s no doubt that the 455 rancher is an absolute workhorse for cleaning up the downed trees, farm works, and felling small to medium trees. But, it’s not the preferred one for the professionals. The power and cutting capacity sometimes limit the use of heavy-duty works. Some people find it less powerful as they might be searching for larger projects. Weight Husqvarna 455 Rancher carries plenty of pros to get excited about. If you’re thinking of buying one, it’s better to look at how it benefits the potential users. Powerful 3.5hp Engine There are better Husqvarna chainsaws out there, including pro models like the 372 XP, but not everyone needs or wants a pro-level saw. And the 455 isn’t the worst Husky chainsaw – that title is reserved for the 240!

Ergonomics is what defines comfort in the chainsaws. Just imagine the pain you go through while carrying a 13.2 lbs weight on your hip. Just to overcome the burden Husqvarna adds front handle ergonomics in the 455 Rancher. With a 55.5cc engine, it handles the bar length up to 20 inches. Not to forget the low emissions and low fuel uptake it requires. We can’t deny the fact that it’s one of the gold standards that Husqvarna has to offer. Ergonomics Have had a 455 R for about 14 years now and have beat the hell out of it and it has never once broken down. Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.

It provides a comfortable grip on your hand with a 7-degree offset handle. Along with that, it reduces fatigue while the saw is on run. Easy to Start Despite plenty of merits, the cons are inevitable. There might be some features that limit the use of particular chainsaws. And similar is the case with the 455 Rancher. Few disadvantages of using the 455 Rancher are discussed below. Not Powerful Enough For Some I don’t understand the following of those plastic, cheap constructed, overpriced pieces of s**t. If you think you have a good saw with a 455, you’ve not ran a good saw. The Husky 455 Rancher has all the standard features you would expect on a Husky chainsaw. You can expect one of these saws to last for many years of faithful service when you look after it right. 455 Rancher Review
