Looking a roto starters and box starters atm and cant make my mind up which one is the better. I like the idea of still having the pull start option still and with going with a roto starter I wont have this option, but the starter box option seems a bit heavy and needs a car battery available. Thanks for that DLD, I am swayed by a starter box and thinking about it were I plan to drive around to I will need to drive there so power isn't an issue really. If you don’t want to make any changes and just get out and drive, that’s fine too! Absolutely everything is factory-fitted right out of the box, so you don’t have to change a thing if you want to just start up the Trophy 3.5 and have some fun. larger the engine normally results in more power, however that power is deturmind by the throttle curve i.e low end, high end... middle ect. Thats determind by the ports. If the body shell of your HPI Trophy 3.5 is broken, ripped or damaged in any way, this can be easily repaired with rubber solution glue. Also, for added protection and if available for your Trophy 3.5 model, fit an under guard to stop dirt and gravel entering the chassis.

The drivetrain used in the Trophy 3.5 buggy is a full-time four-wheel drive shaft-type drivetrain. The shaft drivetrain is the best option for a kit that’s expected drive through mud, water, dirt, grass, snow or gravel! The entire drivetrain is supported by high quality ball bearings for extra efficiency, so you get the the maximum speed and acceleration possible, and the most out of every tank of fuel! I am also new to this game and got a HPI trophy 3.5 for xmas aswell, and had the same problems. Mine ran for one tank of fuel but was really "lumpy" and any throttle increase made her stall. I then tried a second tank but she wouldn't start even with a third throttle. My issue was with a duff glowplug, and the mixture wasn't rich enough. After an adjustment of the HSN and a new medium glowplug she runs like a dream. She still needs final tuning, but at least I have had two tanks of fuel through her to get oval runs done.a 4.6 .28 engine will fit in the trophy with ease.
