About this deal

As NISHANE, we used scents as a language. A language, speaks louder than words itself, maybe is even able to go beyond words. And have 4 scents to tell our stories behind today’s Action, Time, Place, Belief concepts. Four of them are all created to tell mysteries of the humanity’s experiences by the most renowned and distinguished perfumers of our time. A keleti és a nyugati irányzatokat ötvöző isztambuli parfümmárka a Nishane, melyet Mert Güzel és Murat Katran alapított 2012-ben, a szeretett város Isztambul szépségeiből, történelmi örökségeiből, valamint az illatok szeretetéből meríti az ihletet alkotásai megvalósításához. A török Nishane márka egyik népszerű képviselője a 2017-ben megjelenő Jorge Lee által megalkotott Hacivat by Nishane illatkompozíció. I would like to go into the scent process mainly on peculiarities that I have noticed, other perfumers have already described the fragrance in their comments masterfully anyway and their noses are probably much more accurate than mine. I have to say that when I first tried Nishane Hacivat, the opening had me excited. The heart notes got me thinking about whether everything was going downhill, and the dry down somehow redeemed itself by presenting the green aspects of oakmoss. The sweet zestiness from the opening and the fuzziness from the middle stage are still present here, with a twist of clean and green woody oakmoss. You don’t have to worry about smelling like something from the ’70s or ’80s; the oakmoss here is done in a modern way but adds a touch of maturity. Hacivat is a gradiose fragrance and definitely a must try for all Aventus fans. Both are on a very high level, and depending on my mood I prefer one or the other.

Hacivat is a figure of a well-known Turkish shadow play and the fragrance house Nishane (also from Turkey) has chosen this name for one of its most famous fragrances Hacivat is said to be an educated man who likes to talk pompously, but is far from being free of mistakes. Whether there is a connection to the scent here, everyone must decide for himself ;)

Nishane's Hacivat Extrait de Parfum first appeared on the market in 2017 and has earned quite a reputation. Jorge Lee, Murat Ukrstalspeczservis and Mert Güzel are the designers behind this memorable classic. Extraits, like this one, are the most expensive and concentrated form of parfum, with a **proportion of essentials between 20-40%. ** Apply them sparingly. A few drops are enough. Because they are so concentrated, they contain less alcohol. This makes them the best choice for people with sensitive skin. A Symphonic Composition I was not able to detect a large odour transition during my tests and different weather conditions. This somewhat abstract-artificial wood impression certainly lasts for weeks on clothes and outlasts even the strongest wash cycle. I had imagined a scent that is balanced, elusive and fascinating. I got a scent that starts strikingly and bores me a little bit towards the end. Here there is artificial wood, ambroxan and in the base a powerful synthetic orange blossom that is fruitful. Like a sliced pineapple with orange blossom in it. This reminds me very much of the orange blossom of Kurkjan's Petit Matin Why on earth pineapple?! I don't get it. What Yesterday by the Beatles in cover songs is pineapple for men's fragrance. If I sing Yesterday louder, it doesn't mean the song gets better A részletgazdag tervezést és a kidolgozást a több civilizáción átívelő hagyományok ihlették, melyek összekapcsolása a mai kozmopolita gondolkodásmóddal örömteljes kihívás az alkotóknak. A Nishane szó jelentése, szimbólum.

Hacivat stands out with its unique oakmoss accord in the dry down, but keep in mind that it is a clone of Creed Aventus and not a cheap one. If you ask me, it would get a decent decant, and try it out before committing to a full bottle. If it was priced more appropriately, I would even suggest blind buying, but as it is right now, you are better off sampling first. After the name Aventus has been mentioned again and again in previous statements and comments about this fragrance, I would like to contribute my own words and compare the two with each other Notes: The top notes of Nishane Hacivat are pineapple, bergamot, and grapefruit. The middle notes are cedar, patchouli, and jasmine. The base notes are oakmoss and woody notes. Notes: The top notes of Nishane Afrika Olifant are labdanum, myrrh, olibanum, and ambergris. The middle notes are oud, leather, civet, and castoreum. The base notes are musk and civet.

Conclusion: Hacivat is in my eyes a successful sparkling citrus fragrance with woody-green undertones and fruity nuances. However, who expects an Aventus clone with better durability and silage, will probably be disappointed. The fragrance starts, as already described above, very citrusy. A certain sweetish fruitiness (presumably the pineapple) supports the bergamot and grapefruit without ever becoming star of the show. The scent gets a bit greener as it progresses (probably due to oakmoss and patchouli) and then woodier. In the process, the citrus notes withdraw and the composition becomes rounder and sweeter. Notes: The top notes of Nishane Hundred Silent Ways are peach, tuberose, and mandarin. The middle notes are orris, gardenia, and jasmine. The base notes are vetiver, sandalwood, and vanilla. At durability and silage there is nothing to complain about on my skin, when I sprayed him in the evening he was still perceptible at noon for me and others.

The scent opens similar to the standard fruity chypre profile that everybody knows now from scents like Aventus, Hacivat etc. However, I notice that this smells bright - where's the oud? It is mild to the point where the first accord I notice when smelling the scent after the top notes fade is one of a sweet, minty freshness. By minute 15, the accords are more clearer in that I notice the same vanilla visible in Ani Extrait de Parfum, yet the flanking minty-fresh patchouli is the note here that is the equivalent of the oakmoss in the original Hacivat. By the 1 hour mark, the scent is exclusively made up of this patchouli. In the drydown, I find a lot of resemblance to Clive Christian's Anniversary Collection - 150: Timeless which similarly has a sweetened minty-aromatic drydown with lavender & vetiver. The positive thing about loud and strong, however, is that such a fragrance is often very pleasant from a distance and fills the room with an attractive aura. But somebody has to wear the fragrance and then has it right under his nose. And that is (at least for me) really no pleasure. I love the opening of Hacivat. The tartness of grapefruit and bergamot, combined with the juicy and semi-sweet realistic pineapple, literally wakes up all of your senses. It’s a spectacular opening that almost anyone would love. I mean, who doesn’t love the smell of crisp fruits and citruses? This fresh start is powerful, and you can see that Nishane didn’t cheap out on the oils inside. It’s a refined and skillfully blended composition thanks to the talented Jorge Lee. All who have found their great fragrance love in Hacivat, I hereby call on you to also try the Bohemian Lime! The biggest issue with this release is the fact that this is a 50ml €525 fragrance released in the same line with sophisticated-smelling fragrances like Nefs, Shem, and Mana. The scent doesn't justify addition to Nishane's Prestige collection for this profile, and naming this Hacivat Oud is a gamble on the OG Hacivat's name generating sales. The house of Nishane is a niche fragrance house, founded in Turkey by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran. This fragrance house originated in Istanbul and released their first fragrances in 2013. Over the last couple of years, the house of Nishane has created more than 30 well-crafted, high-quality fragrances. These fragrances are made in collaboration with some of the finest perfumers, and that shows. Many Nishane fragrances have recently gained the spotlight, purely because of how nice they are. Although the fragrance house is quite young, names like Nishane Ani and Nishane Hacivat are already becoming staples in the fragrance world. Aventus is well known for its ability to almost irradiate everything in its immediate vicinity with its scent, a quality with which Hacivat can surprisingly keep up with, and sometimes even surpass, it. Especially after spraying it on, it projects extremely, I applied it with a single squirt while walking in the park and it accompanied me strongly perceptible for over an hour like a dense air honeycomb. But in the long run it doesn't reach the Aventus completely, it still fires after a few hours, while Hacivat is still well perceptible but not at this extreme level. But durability is far above average for both fragrances.
