About this deal

But what makesEcoAir dehumidifiers so good? And which are the company's best models? Keep reading to find out. Who Are EcoAir?

As the name suggests, the DC12 has a maximum capacity of 12 litres per day. This makes it suitable for small homes or flats, but we wouldn't recommend it for houseswith more than three bedrooms. As it's designed to be compact and lightweight, the dehumidifier has a relatively small 2 litre water tank. It also has a maximum extraction rate of 7.5 litres per day when on maximum fan speed and with laundry mode enabled (650W). This makes it less suitable for larger homes.

The air purification systemincludes five separate stages. These perform a variety of operations on the air, including a charcoal filter to remove odours and an anti-allergy device to prevent allergens spreading. An ioniser is also included. litre water tankcapacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castorwheels and washable air filter. There are a variety of dehumidifiers for various situations. Some are created to remove moisture from a single room. Others can reduce humidity in a whole house. It's important to choose a machine that meets your requirements. In addition, the air purifier uses a five stage system to control odours and remove allergens. This includes charcoal, anti-allergy and ionisation stages. If you or someone in your household suffers from allergies, the air purifier could help relieve symptoms. We also like how the charcoal and deodouriser stagesreduce nasty odours that can build up in homes. The EcoAir DC12 Mk2 is a relatively compact dehumidifier that's an affordable choice for small homes. It has a maximum extraction rate of 11 litres per day, castor wheels for easier portability, and a lower price than most refrigerant dehumidifiers.

Multi-Layer Filter - An advanced filter cleanses the air, removing odours from cooking for example. The filter consists of three layers, namely carbon, nylon and polyethylene terephthalate.Multi-layerCarbonFilter : Carbon,Nylon & Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Thesummit comes with a carbon filter as standard which is good foreliminating odours (cigarette, cooking). As a desiccant model with an 8 litre per day capacity, the Zambezi is more effective incooler temperatures than refrigerant models. At 10 degrees Celsius, for example, it's able to extract up to 7.5 litre per day depending on humidity. This makes it suitable for garages, conservatories and other cooler areas. It's not all positive though. The DC202 is one of the loudest EcoAir dehumidifiers, so you probably won't want to use it in bedrooms. It's also one of the more expensive EcoAir machines.

Rapid control of humidity & indoor laundry drying. Controls mould, condensation and bacteriagrowth. Compact Design - Compact portable dehumidifier with max 12 Litres/day extraction rate. 2 litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter. There are, however, rechargeable dehumidifiers. These are typically non-electric and are best suited for wardrobes, drawers or cabinets. Once the material has been saturated, you can "recharge" them by plugging in the machine for a short period. This resets the crystals and allows them to soak up more moisture. A good example is the Pro Breeze Mini Dehumidifier. Which model do you recommend as an industrial dehumidifier? High Extraction - The EcoAir Summit S Dehumidifier extracts up to 12 litres per day under ideal conditions. Even so, if you have a large house or struggle with severe damp,a higher capacity dehumidifier is nearly always a better option. For smaller houses, caravans, mild damp problems or single rooms where space is importantyou can get away with less capacity. The DD122FW-MK5 - or just the DD1 MK5 for short - is one of the most popular EcoAir desiccant dehumidifiers. It's a quiet model with aclassic design and range of useful features.

While it isn't cheap, the DEX214F is highly effective at removing water from warm rooms. It also comes with a humidistat, which aims to keep humidity at a specific level. However, it's most effective at room temperature or above, so we don't recommend it for cooler environments. We also think it could do with a bigger water tank. At 1.7 litre, it's one of the smallest tanks we've reviewed, meaning it needs to be emptied regularly. One of the only downsides to the DD1 is that it's not the most energy efficient model on the market. The DD1 also has a relatively low capacity of 7 litres per day, so it's not suitable for large households.

Unlike major brands such as Delonghi, EcoAir are a relatively small company. They are basedin the UK with offices in London, so if you want to buy a British machine EcoAir (or Ebac) are good choices. Other features include a three litre water tank, automatic shut-off when the tank is full, and a continuous drainage option. You'll need a floor-level drain to use a continuous drainage hose though, which is impractical for most homes.
