If you are looking for one fun temporary hair dyeing experience then why not try theLa Riche Directions Colour Hair Dye in Denim Blue. The medium shades of denim go with almost everything but have the more casual vibe. Mid denims these are very easy to wear particularly if you are a medium or lighter person and tends to suit both warm and cool colouring. They are a practical jeans colour that doesn’t show much dirt. Test color by dipping a paper towel into the dyebath. If color is too light, add more dye. If color is too dark, add more water.

Fiber content and weight affect how color appears. If you are in doubt as to whether your fabric will accept dye or achieve the color you want, we recommend testing a swatch first. Details of other color codes including equivalent web safe and HTML & CSS colors are given in the table below. Also listed are the closest Pantone® (PMS) and RAL colors. You’ll want to select a denim that is in the same undertone as your own colouring. If you’re not sure of your colours or undertone get a personal colour analysis online here. Set water temperature to the hottest possible setting and a wash cycle of at least 30 minutes or longer. The longer the item is in the dye, the darker the color will be. When desired color is achieved, remove from dyebath. Fabric will look darker when wet and will dry lighter. The bracelets would make a lovely gift and could easily be made to sell. You could also make matching denim earrings. Next, plait the three seams together until they reached the measured bracelet length. Plait by taking the left outside seam and passing it over the middle seam. Then take the right outside seam and pass that over the new middle seam. Carry on repeating this process until you get the plait of the required length. Fiber content and weight effect how color appears. If you are in doubt as to whether your fabric will accept dye or achieve the color you want, we recommend testing a swatch first. If dyeing natural fibers like cotton or linen, add 1 cup 240 mL of salt to the dyebath. Then, pour the salt or vinegar solution. Flush the dispenser thoroughly with 4 cups 950 mL more of hot tap water.Wear rubber gloves to protect hands from getting stained and to insulate them when working with hot water. You will need three seam lengths of about 30cm each to make the DIY denim bracelet. These can all be from the same pair of jeans. But I think this looks better if you use seams from different pairs of jeans. It’s nice to use denim seams that are different shades of indigo. Measuring the wrist Step 2: Before starting the bracelet, measure the width of your wrist. Then take a couple of cm off this measurement. This will be the length of braided denim needed for the bracelet. My wrist measured 18cm in width, so I needed 16cm length of braided denim. Braiding the denim This effortless denim upcycle requires only a tiny amount of hand sewing. If you prefer no-sew jeans projects, the DIY jeans bracelet can be made with glue instead. I got the idea for this cool denim bracelet when making denim coasters from old jeans seams. Weaving seams made the coasters. I liked the pattern the seams made. I thought it would look good as a bracelet.
