About this deal

Juliette is portrayed as a complex character who begins the story grappling with her own identity. She's compassionate, kind-hearted, and often burdened by her unique lethal touch. Her initial vulnerability contrasts with her emerging strength and determination as the story progresses. James and I aren’t running anymore, Adam says, his eyes going cold as he speaks. I understand if the rest of you have to leave, but James and I will stay here. I was a Sector 45 soldier. I lived on this base. Maybe they’ll give me immunity. After reading this book it became very clear to why this book can be considered a part of the second trilogy in the series and not a direct extension of the first. The first 3 books clearly share the same kind of ambiance but this book definitely branches off to another part of their lives and has a different air surrounding it. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next two.

Tahereh Mafi's writing style is poetic and evocative. Her use of language and metaphors adds a layer of richness to the narrative, immersing readers in the emotional landscapes of the characters. The prose is well-crafted and enhances the reading experience. These last couple of days with her have been making my head spin. I never should’ve trusted her. First she hates me, then she hates me even more, and then, suddenly, she decides I’m not an asshole and wants to be my friend? I can’t believe I fell for it. I can’t believe I’m such an idiot. She’s been playing me this whole time. This girl just shows up out of nowhere, magically mimics my exact supernatural ability, and then—right when she pretends to be best friends with Juliette—we’re ambushed at the symposium and Juliette sort of murders six hundred people? In full disclosure, it’s been a really long time since I read the the first batch of Shatter Me books. this book takes place in march.... bitch im just sayin they better sort their shit out so i can get a HAPPY warner birthday sceneBut nothing learned within the novellas is crucial to the plot of the main series. They’ll only provide extra details that make the novels more impactful.

The Shatter Me series is a young adult dystopian series written by Tahereh Mafi. The first book in the series, Shatter Me, was published in 2011, followed by Unravel Me in 2013 and Ignite Me in 2014. The series has since expanded to include additional novels and novellas. But Castle has sunk down in his chair. He’s staring up, at the ceiling, at nothing. He looks dazed.Warner is enigmatic and exhibits a complex personality. He's initially depicted as a powerful, stoic figure with a mysterious past. His character is marked by strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion to Juliette. The characters have grown a lot since the last book, Juliette definitely among them, and a few more deadly secrets are revealed. This book introduces a new direction for the series while still maintaining the integrity of the previous books. There are a few explosions and power outbreaks, if you can call it that, and the relationship between different characters changes, grows, or develops. This allows you to see what Warner is thinking since Shatter Me is told from Juliette’s point of view. It also serves as an interlude between novels since the events of Destroy Me take place after Shatter Me but before Unravel Me. I don’t really know man,” Kenji says, and sighs. “I think, this time, you just have to deal with the consequences of your own stupidity.”

If you keep talking like that, Sanchez, I can guarantee that at least one person will be dead tonight." Told from the perspective of Warner, one of the series’ main antagonists, this novella takes place between the events of Shatter Me and Unravel Me. It provides readers with insight into Warner’s character and motivations and sets the stage for the rest of the series. Unravel Me (Book #2)Here is a spoiler summary of what happened in Defy Me, the fifth book in Tahereh Mafi’s bestselling Shatter Me series. We have recaps of the whole series so far if you need a refresher on what happened. Kenji’s eyes widen, surprised, and he laughs. He nods at my face and says, “Aw, you’ve got dimples. I didn’t know that. That’s cute.” Defy Meintricately explores the theme of personal identity and the perpetual process of uncovering one's true self. The narrative underscores how external influences can obscure one's sense of self and how vital it is to unearth one's genuine identity. This theme prompts readers to reflect on the multifaceted nature of one's being and how the past molds the present. MY SHIP HAS SUNK!!! *sobs* WHY TAHEREH??!!! Why did you have to do this? This was so damn painful to read!! I mean I understand that both of them had a lot of baggage and that they couldn’t change the way they are, but this?! WHY? So much heartbreak and pain on both of their sides!!! I just wanted them to be happy, to overcome their pain together, but nothing of that happened. Instead they drifted apart and didn’t talk to each other!! What happened to their mutual, strong, respectful and understanding relationship?! I can’t even put into words how much this killed me! You better set this right in the next book! They are my OTP!!! They need to be happy together!!! AND WHAT THE FREAKING HELL WAS THIS LAST CHAPTER?!!! Are you telling me that Warner and Juliette already loved each other when they were children?! That they played together and liked each other?!!! OMG!!! This ending really messed with my mind! I NEED BOOK 5! NOW!!! *faints*
