Each box of Legendary Duelists: Season 3 includes 1 Secret Rare – a rarity that wasn’t available in Immortal Destiny or Magical Hero – as well as 6 Ultra Rares. For this release, because it has a double dose of Jaden, the Ultra Rares will come in the colours of the 3 Duel Academy dorms: 2 red Ultra Rares for Slifer Red, 2 blue Ultra Rares for Obelisk Blue, and 2 standard Ultra Rares for Ra Yellow. As a special bonus, each Legendary Duelists: Season 3 box will also contain one of several collectible dice featuring famous monsters or symbols associated with Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei. If a Normal Summoned/Set "Earthbound Immortal" monster is on the field: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Ultimate Earthbound Immortal" once per turn.

If it battles an opponent's monster, that monster's effects are negated during the Damage Step only. Featuring cards introduced in Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny and Legendary Duelists: Magical Hero. Send up to 3 cards from your hand to the GY; draw that many cards, then you can Special Summon up to that many monsters from your hand, with different names, that are "Performapal" monsters, "Magician" Pendulum Monsters, and/or "Odd-Eyes" monsters, each with a Level between the Pendulum Scales of the 2 cards in your Pendulum Zones. If you did not Special Summon by this effect, you lose 1000 LP for each card in your hand. You can only activate 1 "Performapal Popperup" per turn.of 6 collectible dice, featuring "Dark Magician", "Dark Magician Girl", "Dark Magical Circle", "Elemental HERO Neos", "Hero Signal", or "Junk Synchron". Each time it destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Predaplant" monster from your hand or Graveyard, but it has its effects negated (even if this card leaves the field). Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, pay 800 LP or destroy this card. You can send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard and Special Summon this card (from your hand). For a Synchro Summon, you can substitute this card for any 1 "Synchron" Tuner monster. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a monster that lists a "Synchron" monster as a Tuner.

During your next Standby Phase, after this face-up card you control was destroyed and sent to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect: Special Summon it. During your Main Phase: You can detach 2 materials from this card, then target 1 Xyz Monster you control; until the end of this turn, change its ATK to 4000, also negate its effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, and it was a monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK.

Activate only while you control a face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls, and destroy it. Must be Special Summoned with "Dark Fusion" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot be destroyed by Spell Cards. During each of your Standby Phase: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card must be in face-up Defense Position to activate and to resolve this effect. Legendary Duelists: Season 3 collects cards for heroes, villains, and heroes-turned-villains, all in one place!

Having said that, I personally think the card list for Legendary Duelist Season 3 set has been thought a bit more than the ones I saw in the previous two seasons. Moreover, it includes long-awaited reprints from “Magical Hero” and “Immortal Destiny” sets making it a must-have if you are on the look out for nice magician cards.

The go-to set for players and fans who adore the Dark Magician, HERO, Synchrons, and more along those lines of gameplay and the current meta! This year’s collection of the Legendary Duelists is slightly bigger than the one released last year. Overall, the set features 30 Ultra Rares and 98 Commons in addition to the 10 Secret Rares. Among the 138 cards, only 4 are new cards although some of the Ultra-rare ones have been updated to show names in different colours.
