How would you feel if it turned out that your pride was for naught because, in a bigger world, many people were better than you? She knew that Ding Xian was more talented and hardworking compared to her brother, so she pushed her hard and even made decisions for her. Our Secret captures the most fragile time in students’ lives who are trapped between studies, parents’ expectations, love, and their dreams. Our Secret Review Ding Xian is a teenager who has just moved from a small town to the city. She gets to know Si Yue as their fathers are friends. Hence, they are living in the same neighborhood and attending the same school. Ding Xian also ends up sitting next to Si Yue in class. But they work very hard to keep them together as desk mates. Well, desk mates are the most intimate relationship between them during their high school years. But they managed to be together for 3 years. Zhou Si Yue must withhold his ability, while Ding Xian must work very hard to catch up with him. But they were willing to sacrifice to be together.
Sha Di and Zi Qi get together in Episode 14. She confesses first after their high school graduation. But they break up in Episode 16 when Zi Qi gets suspended from his studies. He hides in Si Yue’s home to avoid Sha Di who keeps searching for him. They reconcile in Episode 19 when she finds out where he has been hiding. the FL did an excellent job in expressing a desk-mate who gradually falls in love with someone who she never thought she would and thinks he doens't reciprocate her feelings. she portrayed a girl chasing her love in a charming way and we can't help but root for this cute couple pairing. By the time they reached senior high school, they already have unspoken feelings for each other. They have also made a pact to enter a prestigious university together. However, Ding Xian couldn’t get enough marks to get into the same university as Si Yue. She opts to repeat another year at high school which means separation for both of them. She makes it the following year but Si Yue seems no longer interested in her. Our Secret Ending (Spoilers Alert!) Well, the romance was a bit slow burn but it didn’t make the story less interesting. In fact, I was enjoying Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian’s interactions in high school. Their characters were lovable and cute.He also know that it would be hard for him to keep Ding Xian for himself, but he didn’t want to lose his chance. I pitied him, he seems to be a lonely person, and Ding Xian is his only light. Just like Zhou Si Yue to Ding Xian. Another Couple Who Needs More Story the side characters weren't annoying. they had their own story to tell, making us cheer for them even with the little screen time they had. I loved the friendship among all of them. How the entire drama really focus on the character development in all the characters, lead characters and supporting characters alike.
Perfect for readers who love a good mix of sweet and sizzle, toe-curling kisses, swoony book boyfriends, and a happily ever after. Rewatch and rewatch Never expected this drama to be so good. Everybody has such good chemistry and the plot is so good. Bear in mind that this is a school/youth genre, so don't expect too much crazy plot twists or strong villains. It was a good weekend when I watched this Our Secret drama. No complicated story, no characters such as green tea or white lotus or Mary sue, just an ordinary student and an ordinary world. There’s no need to frown while watching Our Secret drama, unlike other dramas that make you frown for the whole episode. You’ll be saving a few drops of your retinol serum…😂You might have guessed from the beginning that Our Secret had a happy ending. Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian were finally married. After a series of difficulties that were too complicated for university students, they made it to the engagement. Zhou Si Yue is Ding Xian’s childhood friend and neighbor. He was the most brilliant student at their school. At first, he helped her because Ding Xian’s parents asked him to take care of her at school. But later, Zhou Si Yue was dazzled by her determination and cuteness. He keeps his feelings inside because they need to be focused on their college entrance exams. Our Secret drama review – Ding Xian and Zhou Si Yue At the same time, Si Yue also overhears Ding Xian telling Senior Su that she is under a lot of pressure and feeling tired trying to keep up with him academically in Episode 15. Hence, he doesn’t want Ding Xian to put her own interest aside to chase after him by selecting the same course and research project. So, he denies that he has feelings for her in Episode 16.
Our Secret is different from some other idol dramas like Love 020 which has unrealistically perfect characters. Ding Xian is like your typical teenager who is anxious in a new school and has to learn how to make friends. She is weak in Maths and doesn’t know how to refuse others. Si Yue is brainy and confident of his abilities but still has his moments of self-doubt.
Mr. Zhou finally realized that his glory was nothing without his family around. His wife and son were far away from him, but they rushed to be with him when he encountered hardships. He regretted the way he made them wait for him. And Mrs. Zhou, who seemed weak and spoiled, was actually a forbearing person.
