About this deal

As you may already know, as a general rule, electric toothbrushes from Oral-B actually sell for far less than their retail price.

Lets assume you are a couple living together and you buy the 2900. It would be cheaper to buy outright, but if you went on holiday, neither of you have a travel case to store the toothbrush handle and head in. On the top of the handle is a metal prong that joins onto the Oral-B brush head. It is compatible with almost all the Oral-B brush heads and Oral-B have one of the most complete sets of brush heads in the business. ColoursSensitive is also a great choice for first time electric toothbrush users. It makes for a more pleasing introduction to the increased power such brushes offer. The Pro 2 2000 comes with 3 different brush heads (CrossAction, 3D White or Sensi UltraThin) compared to the 4 brush heads (CrossAction, 3D White, Charcoal & Sensi UltraThin) of the Pro 3 3000. The brush head is recommended by dentists all over the world. With the state of the art lithium-ion battery, you only need to recharge once for more than two weeks of use. Another slight difference is the brush head that comes provided. Both models will come supplied with 1 brush head as standard. It is designed this way to mimic their top of the line iO Series and does away with the large rubber grip on the front of the handle that you find on the 2500.

The Pro 3 3000 has 3 cleaning modes (Daily Clean, Sensitive & Whitening) compared to the 2 modes (Daily Clean & Sensitive) of the Pro 2 2000.

1) Features: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500

The Oral-B Pro 2000, 3000 and 2500 all use the 3D oscillating rotating mechanism of action at 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute. They will therefore clean your teeth with the same power on the daily clean mode. The Oral-B Pro 3000 trumps the others by being able to adjust the pulsations and oscillations with a sensitive cleaning mode. If you do not have sensitive teeth, this function will be irrelevant for you. However, as noted earlier, there are various variants, which can mean the grip colour will be different, or the same! The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 Electric Toothbrush uses a 3D oscillating rotating motion to clean your teeth. This means that the bristles spin right and left and pulsates up and down.

Lasting up to 16 days or 66 minutes in our testing, that is an extra 4 days or 16 minutes of usage time. Smart 6 6000 vs Genius 9000 A big improvement, it means you can go between charges for longer and works better for those who travel and are away from power. What I add on to this is, it is easier to clean properly with an electric toothbrush that oscillates 8,800 per minute and pulsates 40,000 per minute. My analogy is this, if you were trying to reach 100mph would it be easier to do it in a Ford KA or a Ferrari? You could probably do it in both, but one would be significantly easier that the other. Any good electric toothbrush that cares for your oral hygiene needs to have a two-minute timer. It is an essential feature because almost everyone doesn’t brush for long enough. In fact, the average person typically brushes their teeth for only 45 seconds. This can lead to dental plaque festering on your teeth, ultimately leading to gum disease and tooth decay. There are cheaper alternatives from Oral-B and other lesser known brands but these come with compromises. It offers a blend of features and functions that benefit us as users at a price that most will find affordable. Design aside, they do the same job. When the sensor is activated they both light up red to alert you that you are brushing too hard. Reduce the pressure and the lights go out.
