This Missoni cologne blue bottled fragrance is more balmy and aquatic, thanks to the addition of vetiver and sea salt. While they’re both bright, fresh scents, Missoni pour Homme has more staying power and is a bit more complex. I vividly remember when this one was first released because I scooped up 2 samples of it and gave them a go. Well....sort of. It didn't take long for me to realize that, despite it's generic appeal, it bugged me for some reason. It was familiar, but not in the Bleu de Chanel sort of way; it was fruity, but not in the YSL L'homme way; and it was LOUD. Synthetic and LOUD. Couldn't put my finger on it. Needless to say, I literally couldn't make it through the first sample and promptly gave both away, mentally slapping the fragrance with the label "no-go" and that was that. The Italian fashion house of Missoni launches its new masculine fragrance called Missoni Parfum Pour Homme, the first fragrance for men of this house in the last 20 years and the third edition under the license of Euroitalia, following the feminine versions Missoni from 2015 and Missoni Eau de Toilette from 2016. It will appear on the market in June 2017. This blend mixes the woody notes of barks, mosses and warm resins with the greener impression of aromatic spices for a truly hypnotic effect. Opening this perfume is a head of lavender, grapefruit and lemon. Next heart notes of jasmine, ginger and apple take the stage. As these float away, they expose the base of sandalwood, oak, musk and patchouli. (Patchouli, Pogostemon cablin, is a flowering plant closely related to mint.
