Aria is a citizen of the Empire. She brings Tatsumi to stay with her family for a few nights, but in reality, her family drugs and tortures gullible travelers to their deaths. Night Raid arrived just in time to show tatsumi Aria's torture chamber and Sayo's corpse. After a dying Iyesau tells Tatsumi that Aria tortured Sayo to death, Aria goes berserk and insane as she rants on how she tortured Sayo for her beautiful hair. This enrages Tatsumi to the point where he sliced Aria in the stomach, killing her instantly. Izou was seen to be a master swordsman who excels at handling his sword: Kōsetsu (江雪). The manner in which he used it greatly resembles Iaijutsu, a real-life Japanese style of sword-fighting. Another, older name for Iaijutsu is Battōjutsu, the two are often used interchangeably along with the word battō, the shortened name of Battōjutsu.
If there was a person who could embody the word "crazy". Seryuu probably fits the word perfectly. Probably the most hated character in the entire show. Seryuu is a person who has a completely twisted view on justice. She believes that everything the empire does is right and that everyone who goes against the empire is evil. Now although she is indeed twisted as hell and it is a normal response to hate her guts. I find that she brings a different point of view to the word "justice" in the show. To her the empire is her sense of justice. This outlines the different sense of justice between the two groups and what they are fighting for. Something that the show fails to do in many other places. Crimson blood-spray animated with such vigor that it makes it readily apparent that the people behind this project are having as much fun slaughtering their cast as we as viewers get from watching them die. In a way, it's like this show's animators were a part of the noble class themselves, as they hyper-fixate on bringing these death sequences to life. Sadly, when no one is being turned into blood confetti, the actual quality of the animation drops off significantly. Stiff body motion. Lazily panning across flat landscapes. Shading devoid of effort or care. Scene compositions setup with zero creative foresight; all of it expressed with complete apathy. Sten appeared alongside his fellow demons at a party hosted by Bolic where they meet the Jaegers, as they were tasked with protecting Bolic from Night Raid. When Seryu spoke up and said that they should have Teigu in case they come across Night Raid, Sten stated that Teigu users are still human, with Mez adding that there are countless ways to deal with them.
After losing two of the Wild Hunt members, Syura claimed that having Izou would make up for these losses. Great General Budo [ edit ] Voiced by: Hozumi Gôda(Japanese); Josh Morrison [ episodeneeded] (English) Budo was shown to be a serious man in his duties in protecting the palace and the Emperor, as he was shown to be angry when Wave and Syura almost used their Teigu to fight inside the palace and he threatened to kill them if they ever did it again, and when Syura teleported the Night Raid members into the palace to capture them, Budo punched him after their capture due to the possibility of harm coming to the Emperor from his plan and gave his promise to kill him if this was ever repeated.
If two Teigu users engage in a battle, both with killing intent, one of them is certain to die. If multiple users are involved, there is a high probability of only one of them surviving. Another Emperor 400 years prior to the present of the story had also attempted to create his own Teigu and try and create weapons that surpasses the original 48 using his own resources. However, this venture ended in failure, due to the fact that despite being powerful in their own right, the newly-created weapons were nowhere near as powerful as the Teigu and were thus then named Shingu. Esdeath: Esdeath has been seen to sarcastically refer to him as "Old Geezer" but still held Budo in high regards and respects him due to his strength. Upon hearing his statement that he would deal with the Prime Minister once the rebellion has been suppressed, Esdeath smiled to herself stating that she looked forward to their potential battle.The Emperor ( 皇帝, Kōtei ) is a young boy who wishes to lead his people to a bright future. [ ch.4] But his naive nature and inexperience resulted in him serving as nothing more but as a figurehead under Honest's manipulation, unaware that prime minister murdered both of his parents. As the sole survivor of the Imperial bloodline, the Emperor is the only person capable of operating the Imperial Arm known as "Imperial Guardian: Shikoutazer" ( 帝都守護 シコウテイザー, Teito Shugo: Shikouteizā, "Primus Imperator" in the anime), which is a giant 500-meter tall suit of armor boasted to be the most powerful of the Teigu and can fire energy beams that can obliterate entire armies with a single volley. But what the Emperor did not know was that Honest had Dorothea alchemically modify Shikoutazer with a trump card only he can activate on command or as a deadman's switch: Purge Mode. In Purge Mode, Shikoutazer's armor breaks off to reveal its monstrous appearance while the emperor's mind is warped with bloodlust. He is defeated by Tatsumi, who brings forth the full power of Incursio to destroy Shikoutazer at the cost of his human form. In the aftermath of the siege, after asking Najenda to rebuild their nation, the Emperor relents himself to be publicly executed.
