I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories. I loved both characters. Both were strong, independent equally in love. The story is told in both characters perspective alternately and it works beautifully to reveal the depth of love each has for the other. You know both their thoughts and the intensity of their love for each other as they deal with lifes issues that affect them. Usually, I hate when a heroine keeps something from the Hero that you know will only be worse the longer the information is withheld, but in this case, with the storyline, it works because their is a valid reason for it. Isabelle lost her family at a young age and was raised by her Uncle Tobias who was a great role model for her. Isabelle is on her way to her new job in a new town when she literally falls down to the feet of the most handsome man with grey eyes she has ever met. She enjoys her plane ride after meeting him because she is scared of flying this perfect (and I mean perfect in every way) stranger helped her through the scary part. Isabelle meets new people and works hard at her job put can’t quit thinking about those eyes and that man who she needs to stay far away from. He is an enigma and she finds herself drawn to him as much as she tries to keep her distance he just always appears and her body is a traitor to her and has a mind of its own when she is near him.

On her way to her first posting as an FBI agent, Isabelle literally runs into the hottest guy she’s ever seen at the airport. After he helps her up off the floor they part, but guess what?! He’s seated next to her on her flight! They banter and flirt and he asks her to meet him at his club the next night. Isabelle learns that her first case is investigating this very same stranger! Do you think she disclosed to her boss they had met? No. But as fate would have it, on her first weekend off of work she runs into him again while drunk at nightclub! He takes her home after she passes out. Determined to stay away from him because of the conflict of interest she “skedaddles”. Oh but she runs into him again at a restaurant while out with a friend, and they all end up sharing a booth. Like, what are the odds?! I won’t,” he breathes out with a relieved sigh. “I’ll tell her you’re indisposed or some shit. She loves me, so she’ll believe me.” My favorite Kindle note to write: “This is like reading Twilight but Mafia instead of Vampires. This is like tragically bad. I’m just reading it for shits and giggles at this point. Like this is tragic”

We only put a condom in our wallet with the full intention of using it the night we put it in there.” I don't know anything about Isaac other than he is hung like a horse and is angry all the time. He is also crazily possessive and rich. holy shit. i think i start every review off when i say this but i was engrossed in this book. i could not put it down. the amount of spice in this book could satisfy me for a good month. i think i drooled a bit too much reading this book. this was my first shadi boyes book and obviously not my last (i’m almost done with book two in this series). And Hugo?” I wait for him to once again return his phone to his ear before instructing, “Stay out of Isabelle’s apartment. You’re not there as a guest, and pretending you are could end disastrously.” I love that although the characters evolved and developed over the story they never changed completely they just became better versions of themselves.

She is an FBI agent, but couldn't handle a murder scene. It is explained why she can't handle it but I wished Isabelle could have been a stronger character. Wow this novel is amazing you will definitely not be disappointed in Isaacs and Isabelle’s story it's hot and the chemistry between them is so hot it could set your kindle on fire.Enigma: The Mystery unmasked by Shanti Boyes a twiterpating five-star read. This is the third book in the Enigma series and it is just as fast paced and thrill filled as the first book. One of the things about this series is how we are shown how Isabella Brahn has been through a lot, and has had to fight for everything she believes in and loves, we are shown that no matter how hard she fights, she can’t always win. This story goes from strength to strength, I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. You can’t help but watch her fight and want to stand alongside her holding her hand and getting the punching bag ready. I am really enjoying the friendship that is building between Isabelle and Hugo – I really like Hugo but I am starting to wonder what his story is – there is a few hints about him during the books but nothing is every fully disclosed! I hope we find out more about him in the final book! Isabella Brahn is a woman in conflict, she is having a day from hell having gotten half way through a journey that will change her life, after being forced to fly across the country to start a job she has been eager to sink her teeth into, a fear of flying causes her to be more nervous than normal at an airport and then she has an unexpected meeting with a man who takes her breath away, causing her nerves to do strange things. Isaac Holt lives and breathes his empire. He started it with nothing but his own blood, sweat, and tears. And he has no intentions of letting anything or anyone get in the way of his empire’s success. “My business is my empire. I worked relentlessly for years to get where I am. I eat, breathe, and sleep for my empire. Nothing has ever been able to divert my attention away from my goals and aspirations for the past five years. Nothing at all. Until I saw her.” The her is Isabelle and his eternal weakness. Something about her touches him and makes him have a soft spot for her no matter what he does to try and stay away. Eventually he gives in and tries to make it all about her, and devote himself romantically to her, vowing to be her protector for as long as he is alive.

There was a lot of mystery and action in this series that keeps you engrossed. Additionally there's a lot of HOT sex which is very well written (if a little unbelievable, but hey...we can dream, right ladies?). This series had romance, (lots of) sex, suspense, mystery and misdirection to lead us, the reader, to think one thing is going to happen when perhaps something else is going to take place.Enigma: The Complete Collection is a boxed set that contains the first four books in the Enigma series by Shandi Boyes. The four books are; All goes well until things start to get messy with her past crossing into his business dealings. He doesn’t enjoy working with mob bosses but does so to stay safe, and he is anything but thrilled when he discovers that Izzy is now on the crazy mob boss Col Petretti’s radar. “Col is one of the most ruthless, cold-hearted men I’ve ever met in my life, and I’ve met a lot of unscrupulous people the past few years.”
