The Excalibur is a combination Group 1/2/3 forward-facing car seat that’s suitable all the way from nine months to around twelve years old. But what’s so great about a combination car seat? The common car seat route is to buy a Group 0+ infant carrier that’s travel system compatible, i.e. that can slot onto a pushchair chassis. Then between 12-15 months you buy the next stage seat a Group 1 that can either be rear or forward facing, and then finally a Group 2 seat at around age four. But this is not the only way, and if money is tight or you don’t plan on using a car seat regularly, a combination car seat could be the way forward. Many of these seats span around 2 car seat stages with Group 0+/1 and Group 2/3 being particularly popular. The Excalibur will fit your child for three of the stages, from group 1-3. So confident, in fact, that I persuaded my daughter’s grandparents to take delivery of the Cozy N Safe so we could test it out in their car and I wouldn’t have to part with my own beloved car seat. I love that you can use the 5-point-harness for so long as this feels more secure that the adult seat belt and also more comfortable. What’s more, the seat reclines at the touch of a button – it’s literally that easy – so when she does doze off we can adjust her seat position for maximum comfort.

For maximum safety you should keep your child in their rear-facing car seat until the seat is fully outgrown. After you’ve figured out how to best install it, it’s actually really simple and straightforward using either the Isofix or the seat belt. If your car has a top tether bit in the boot, you can possibly use that too.Most of our prams and pushchairs include a manufacturer’s warranty. The forward facing car seat boasts a durable steel reinforced shell, side impact protection, four-position recline and deep padding. The fact that you can recline the seat is amazing and adjusting it is really simple by pulling a handle at the front of the seat. If you know your child is ready for a nap or you’re driving in the evening or at night and you want them to fall asleep, definitely recline the seat for them to make them more comfortable. No more heads bobbing forward as your child falls asleep in the car! This makes it really easy to pop your little one in and out of this seat - there’s no wrestling with straps over stubborn shoulders, and my daughter is even able to climb into the seat and slip her arms into the straps all by herself.

Cozy N Safe Excalibur Car Compatibility Your car seat will either have a 5-point or a 3-point harness to hold your child securely in their seat.We will arrange for the manufacturer to collect your pram from your home within 5-7 days free of charge, or you can drop it off at our store if preferred, and we’ll arrange collection from there. If the seat cannot be held securely, it can be thrown forwards in a crash and the child may be injured.
