Yes, there comes a time when all that's left is God. Nothing else matters. Nothing else has any meaning. Nothing else calls to you, magnetizes you, demands your attention---or is even worthy of it. God always gives us what is best for us. He is the Light and “the darkness that creates the Light, and makes it possible”. He is “the Goodness Without End, and the ‘Badness’ which makes the ‘Goodness’ good.” He cannot experience any part of His Self without experiencing all of his Self. His information also came from all the metaphysical books that he had read and from Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism, but very LOOSELY. I recognized them all. He took what he wanted from those books, just as those who had written books on metaphysics had. But there was always a twist to them, a few biblical scriptures thrown in; a few from Hinduism and Buddhism, but due to the twists the teachings were never the same. I met some women who were into learning how to give psychic readings. They went to Heartsong in Berkeley, a school which taught you how to go into a trance and give psychic readings. I went with them. It was then that I began reading New Age books, many of them. They were only called New Age, the information was old.
In Walsch's first dialogue, God notes that "knowing" and "experiencing" oneself are different things. Before creation, there was only That-Which-Is, which cannot know or experience itself fully without something it is not. It cannot know itself as love since nothing exists but love. It cannot know itself as giving since nothing else exists to give to. It cannot experience itself in myriad ways because everything is one.others. Schools are a distribution point to children for this book through the Scholastic Book Club. Too often, we do not. Because of our own wounds, we cannot heal the wounds of others. And so we deny our world the things our world needs the most. We deny our world forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, mercy, peace, acceptance, and love. And when we deny these to our world, we deny these to ourselves---for what we have not placed into the world, we cannot receive from the world. Again, let the New Golden Rule be repeated:
