About this deal

Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. The Aspire Nautilus Prime X not only joins them, but is without doubt one of the very best vape kits I’ve ever had the pleasure to use. The Nautilus X pods are easy to refill and each comes with a compatible coil to get you started. The 0.7 Ohm Nautilus coil is ideal for MTL or Restricted DTL vaping, providing a smaller amount of vapor. The Aspire BP 0.3 Ohm coil supports higher wattages for DTL vaping. Both coils have different variations available separately, allowing you to experiment with high VG or high PG e-liquids based on your chosen coil. This flexibility provides you with more options to find what suits you best.

It feels like I’ve been spoiled as a vape reviewer just lately with a wealth of really solid vape gear landing on my desk. As I mentioned earlier, after a couple of days I did buy more coils, and NOT because I was unhappy with those included either. I had invested a lot in Aspire kit BEFORE my Prime X broke. First the fire button went off on its own, I cleaned it, a day later it fired intermittently, a couple of days later it stopped working. I haven’t had my hands on the original, but straight out of the box and comparing it to the photos of its predecessor, I can see it’s a real and I mean marked improvement design wise. With the BP pod/coil being sub ohm – that 2ml capacity is annoying as you seem to be filling it up every 20 minutes or so – depending on how much you vape of course.

There’s been some major changes, none more so to the overall design and the fact this new version takes an 18650 battery – more on the updates as we go on. Aspire – Nautilus Prime X – A true all in one experience, with fully adjustable airflow, and it works perfectly for both mouth to lung vaping and direct to lung vaping. The most versitile all in one device we’ve seen yet!

The Nautilus X pods are easy to refill and each comes with a compatible coil to get you started. The 0.7 Ohm Nautilus coil produces a smaller amount of vapour for MTL or Restricted DTL vaping. The Aspire BP 0.3 Ohm coil supports higher wattages for DTL vaping. There are different variations of each coil available separately and depending on which coil you’ve chosen; you’ll be able to use these pods with either a high VG or high PG coil. This gives you more options to experiment with to find out what’s best for you. If the makers of Marlboro could see the threat, then it might just be worth a look (I have one good friend in Dubai who is a convert and earlier this year over beers he enthused about it - but I ignored him, I liked cigs, and they’re really cheap in Dubai). The 0.96" TFT colour screen has a user interface that is adjustable, and features a variety of screen colours. All necessary vaping information is displayed on the screen. First of all, the Nautilus Prime X comes with a sort of box that uses an 18650 battery. The air intake and a slider to adjust it are on the front. A colour display just beneath that harmoniously completes the layout of the front. On the underside of the pod is a 18650 battery hatch that opens and closes easily. The whole thing is solid and should survive daily use pretty well.

The design of the new version is where things have taken a major change for the better – and we’ll look at that in a moment. The above MTL coils are best for smokers wanting to switch to vaping due to the ability to vape higher nicotine strengths. If you are a low volume smoker, or have quit smoking, then a restricted direct to lung (RDL) coil is an alternative option. There are two main types of RDL Aspire coils compatible with these kits: Nautilus 2S 0.7ohm Mesh, or the Aspire BP 0.6ohm coils. Both of these coils are still ideal for lower VG e liquids including the Vapour Days UK 10ml bottles or the Cherub brands of flavours. RDL coils produce more clouds and therefore are recommended for use with lower nicotine strengths. You can also use some higher VG e liquids, up to 70% VG, which opens you up to using the majority of the bigger short fills available at Vapour Days UK too. These have no nicotine although there is the option to add a nicotine shot to create a low 3mg bottle of juice. And don’t forget, with an RBA and a 510 adaptor on the way, the Aspire Nautilus Prime X can only get better.

Our friends at UK Aspire Vendor asked if we’d be interested in taking a look at the updated version of the Nautilus Prime, the Nautilus Prime X. I was a little on the fence with the original version with its internal 2000mAh battery, but with this updated revision moving over to an external 18650 battery I was more than a little interested to see what Aspire's latest take on the billet box style AIO was going to be like. Overall, the Nautilus Prime X pod kit offers a level of customization rarely seen outside of classic sub-ohm vape kits while maintaining a user-friendly design suitable for everyday use. I needn’t have worried, once again – and as expected – the coil and pod coped admirably with not even the tiniest amount of residue left. The way the brand has positioned the buttons and air intake make it particularly practical to use, as does the idea of putting the air intake on the front of the pod so you can adjust it easily via the slider. Versatile when it comes to coils However, thanks to the airflow control, you can shut it right down and get a more than respectable tight MTL vape – does feel a tad warm to me though.
