About this deal

We also take any delivery charges into account, and if free delivery is being offered, is there a minimum spend to qualify for it. We also like that they have enough calories to be used to help with weight loss without losing muscle, and also for muscle gain without piling on the fat. Each 64g bar has 20g of protein, which is pretty much the standard amount you’ll find in most protein bars. As you can see above, Warrior Crunch bars contain a decent amount of protein at 20g per bar, which is at the top end of what you’ll find in other leading bars.

The downside…we would have preferred them to be gluten and soya free, however, we’ve tried quite a few of these bars and not suffered any adverse effects at all, and so we highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality, great tasting protein bar. The chocolate outer coating does have a tendency to crumble away from the rest of the bar though when you take a bite so be prepared for that. Rolled Oats, Toasted Oats (contains Honey, Barley Malt Extract, Sugar, Vegetable Oil), Protein Blend ( Milk Protein, Hydrolysed Gelatine), Glycerine, Fructo-Oligosaccharide, Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin), Salt, Sweetener (Stevia, Sucralose), Flavouring.

When you bite into one of these bars you immediately hit the crunchy bits before getting to the softer centre and when you begin chewing the flavour comes out immediately. On the flipside, some protein bars are marketed as “meal replacement bars”, which can be eaten in place of a full meal, helping you eat fewer calories. It is, of course, down to preference. “While protein can aid satiety and leave you feeling fuller for longer, weight loss comes down to overall diet,” says Hope. When Should I Eat a Protein Bar? Wholegrain oat-blend protein bars are some of the most popular options, as they can provide up to 30 per cent of your RDA for fibre. Most protein bars are also bolstered with between 15 and 20 vitamins and minerals, with a focus on antioxidants and vitamins C and E, which will help lessen DOMS.Priyankaa has an MA in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University and over five years’ experience in health and fitness journalism. That being said, in terms of tastiness there’s not really that much between them, they all taste pretty amazing and in our opinion certainly give Grenade’s Carb Killa bars a run for their money. Dark Chocolate Peanut Crunch bars have 236 calories per bar too which makes them pretty versatile, however not much different to Grenade Carb Killa bars in this respect. There are some customers who aren’t quite as happy with them and who are giving them 3 stars or less because they say the flavour didn’t live up to their expectations and a couple of them received damaged bars. Rolled Oats, Toasted Oats (contains Honey, Malt Extract, Sugar, Vegetable Oil), Protein Blend (Milk Protein, Hydrolysed Gelatine), Glycerine, Fructo-Oligosaccharide, Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier (Soya Lecithin), Sweetener (Sucralose, Stevia), Flavouring)

Take a bite and you can see that they are made up of a chocolate outer coating around a layer of crunchy bits in a caramel like layer, around a firm yet chewy centre. Warrior 'Crunch' Protein Bar - Salted Caramel Ingredients & Nutritional Information: Warrior 'Crunch' Protein Bar - Salted Caramel Flavour 64g They are nice and light on the stomach too and don’t leave you feeling sluggish or anything like that after eating them. Main Features…If you’re looking to add some muscle without adding any fat Warrior Crunch bars can help you do that. Protein bars stamped with the esteemed the Men’s Health Lab Approved logo are our winners. The remaining protein bars on our list have been selected by Hope and Hobson, who know exactly what to look for and what to avoid with a pre- or post-workout protein treat. But, be aware that not all protein bars are made equal. Some contain high levels of sugar and 'empty calories', meaning your healthy treat could be anything but. To cut costs, some brands sweeten them with crystaline fructose, which delivers intense sweetness in small quantities. Consume too much of this ingredient and it can put you at risk of liver damage. The Warrior Crunch isn’t exactly what the name suggests. There isn’t much ‘snap’ to it; the bars even describe themselves as having a triple layer of ‘gooey’ goodness. Crunch? Gooey? Which is it? The raspberry filling is definitely soft but decadently so; in much the same way as a luxury chocolate bar. I missed any crunch. But the opulence that this bar seems to unusually offer, means I found myself thinking that a box of these would make for a great present for an exercise fiend, amateur athlete or gym bunny; a birthday, Christmas, Mother’s or Father’s Day gift. It’s a triple-protein-blend of milk protein, collagen hydrolysate and soya protein isolate and NOT a 100% whey protein meaning that gram for gram they don’t have the same nutritional content as a top protein powder.
