About this deal

One of my favorite aspects was the incredibly fun dialogue. Harper had a great friend group and the dynamics between them all was fantastic. If you are a Reader who loves hilarious dialogue, you have to read this. they don't initially want to be around each other and yet somehow they both needed each other the most out of everyone else.

Then Chris turned himself into the world’s douchiest cliché. “Indira, it’s not what it looks like.” This book was so inspirational and beautiful. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an emotional read with SO much heart and healing. Of course he is. With Colin and his fiance's wedding rapidly approaching, of course Jude would be there, it just couldn't be worse timing for Indira. She can't stand Jude. Even growing up, they were always at odds with one another.Honestly, this last installment really surprised me! After the cuteness and lightheartedness of the first two books, this one hit me differently. Taking a long look at mental health, trauma, insecurities stemming from childhood, therapy and communication, it felt real and full of hope. It's a lot more heavy and series than its predecessors, particularly Lizzie Blake, and made me well up several times. It was such a journey for the characters, and I adored the way they supported eachother. They were both so brave and vulnerable. this was the sweetest romcom for my cold, cynical heart to feast on to stay warm in this depressing american winter. The pair was intimidatingly put together, their cushy doctor salaries granting them a spacious three-bedroom home in Manayunk, one of Philadelphia’s more residential neighborhoods a few miles northwest of Center City.

Mazey Eddings’s writing is authentic, emotional, and intensely romantic! To me, it’s like a Taylor Swift song in book form."— New York Times bestselling author Ali Hazelwood In the first two books, some of the fun and excitement came from two characters meeting, dating and falling in love. There's always some underlying excitement in that process because it's all new.Funny and cute while also exploring serious topics, powerfully underscoring the truth that relationships require work, and that happy endings are for everyone‘ SARAH HOGLE

I don’t know how she does it, but somehow every book Mazey Eddings writes becomes my new favorite. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Jude and Indira, both individually and as a couple. The Plus One is deliciously tropey, but also raw, honest, psychologically rich— and scorchingly hot." —Ava Wilder, author of How to Fake It in Hollywood Thank you to St. Martin's, NetGalley, and the author for my early review copy. While Mazey is a dear friend, my love of this novel and my appreciation of her storytelling and craft was in no way influenced by our relationship; all opinions are fully my own! Both of them were struggling to move past self-doubt, guilt and fear. I loved watching them open up with one another about their pasts and really support each other through those moments. Their vulnerability was beautiful. i am in pain. the fact i thought i was over half way done with this and the way my face dropped when i realised i still had nearly three quarters to go🌚 I highly recommend you to read entire books of the series and leave this one for the last! ( you gotta save the best for the last) The author’s realistic approach to mental health issues is so inspirational and helpful. Don’t miss this series!

Need Help?

Through this series of mishaps, totally “platonic” single bed sharing, and this underground erotic baking scheme, Rake and Lizzie discover that even the largest mistakes can have some of the most beautiful consequences.

But, irrationally, it was a hell of a lot easier to ride the wave of a decent week than to sit down on Dr. Koh’s beige couch and sift through her feelings until she realized she’d been deluding herself and her week was, in fact, total shit. This is a very raw, real and ugly depiction of what anxiety can look like. What the academic pressures can push you into becoming. What it looks like when you consistently ignore your own well-being, even though it’s clear as day that you are drowning. Indira stopped. She wasn’t sure if it was the weight of the items she carried or the hurt that was radiating out from the center of her chest, but she realized she was trembling. She turned to look over her shoulder at the stranger. also no book beloved to me comes without trauma and don't you forget it. jude is suffering from complex ptsd due to his time in such intense crisis situations and indira hasn't healed from all the trauma in her life.Mazey Eddings is a neurodiverse dentist, author, and (most importantly of all) a stage mom to Zadie and Yaya, her cats. She has roots in North Carolina and Ohio, but calls Philadelphia her home. I loved their enemies to lovers, fake dating ( even though only people they lie to Indira’s cheating ex and his new girlfriend she’s caught in the act) , forced proximity ( living at the next room and sharing some camping tent) tropes! Indira hiked up the stairs of her building and let herself into the unit, sweeping into the kitchen with a flourish. Even though this is cute and funny though, that's not all it is. Both Harper and Dan had great depth of character with some hard-hitting story lines in their past. A Brush With Love series #3. Contemporary romance. Can be read as a stand-alone. 5e epilogue does wrap up all three relationships of the series.
