About this deal

Tom's books have been translated into thirty-nine languages, and to date he has sold over 5 million copies of his books in the UK alone. The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet and The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas are firm favourites here, so this latest instalment had a lot to live up to. It's another brilliant read- children will love it and adults will be grossed out by it. But when you've finished you'll have a smile on your face, whatever your age.

Tom also writes the incredibly successful Who's in Your Book? picture-book series and is one half of the author duo behind the Dinosaur that Pooped picture-book series too, which has sold over 1.5 million copies.A Jurassic classic from the bestselling creators of The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet!, The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas! and The Dinosaur that Pooped a Princess! Both of my children love The Dinosaur That Pooped series of books and this is another bedtime favourite of my sons. There's something about Dinosaurs and poop that seems to be an immediate hit with my son and although he is too young to read yet he always knows when to shout Poo! in line with the story.

The Christmasaurus is currently being developed by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey into an animated, feature-length movie with original songs written by Tom. Oh. My. Word. There is a new Pooping Dinosaur book out! Let's just say there has been a bit of excitement about this one in our house (and not just from my son-we both squealed in equal measure when it landed on the doormat). I love McFly and have long been aware of the warped sense of humour the band have, but my son Zachary knows Tom and Dougie only as authors-he didn't believe me when I went to watch McBusted and said Tom and Dougie were in the band!

Need Help?

Dougie wrote songs together with Tom Fletcher for years in bands McFly and McBusted; they now write their bestselling Dinosaur that Pooped books in the same way that they write their song lyrics. The books have sold over a million copies! This time it is Granny's 1008th birthday and she makes Danny and Dinosaur a big feast of eggs, broccoli and sprouts and she won't let them leave until they have eaten everything on their plates, Danny doesn't want his so the Dinosaur eats both of their party food. As well as his career as an author, by the age of 21, Tom had penned 10 UK number 1 singles and is the founding member of the band McFLY. The Brit Award-winning band has sold over 10 million records worldwide and Tom has also written songs for other artists including One Direction, Busted and 5SOS. Tom also writes the incredibly successful Who's in Your Book? picture-book series and is one half of the author duo behind the Dinosaur that Pooped picture-book series too, which has sold over 1.5 million copies. For older readers, Tom co-authors the Eve of Man series with his wife Giovanna Fletcher. Dougie Poynter has been obsessed with dinosaurs ever since visiting the Natural History Museum when he was about three. He is passionate about the natural world and a keen conservationist, working with charities such as WWF and Greenpeace to get harmful products banned and to clean up the planet.

I enjoyed reading this book. it was different to most children's books. It was a slightly silly story. The pictures help to communicate the story and are one of the main draw to the book. The onomatopoeic words are written in large bold writing, so if you were reading the story out loud - it is giving you a prompt to extenuate these words. Fresh (if that’s the word) from excretory adventures in outer space (see The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet, 2017), Danny and his craptastic dino companion undertake further effluvial exploits in the Jurassic. The book had a fantastic story and brilliant illustrations and it had a great poetic rhythm just like the previous two books and I enjoyed it just like I did with the other two books. We also hadn't realised that the book was one of a series until we'd finished it, and as a standalone it left a lot of unanswered questions related to the gran's obsession with green and the existence of the magic swing. Tom's books have been translated into thirty-five languages and to date he has sold over 4 million copies of his books in the UK alone.
