About this deal

Both the SC300 and the 200 model are made by a trusted brand in the golf industry, but there are some big differences. My Swing Caddie App Allows You to View Ball Spin Numbers, Swing Video Recording Capability, Ability to Draw Overlaying Reference Lines for Analysis (i.e. Swing Plane Lines) The SC300 did an excellent job of measuring carry distances. I saw similar results on ball speed as well, which is another important metric to measure There are a number of different things the SC300 will record but the main thing I look at is the distance. There’s really no way for me to verify apex height but as long as my distance is improving, that’s all I care about. The person who doesn’t want to spend their whole practice session in an app, and is mostly looking to get some general data to make their practice sessions more enjoyable and productive.

Now, however on the SC300, you select your target, but there's no scoring option this time around. The stats taken from this mode simply end up in the main stats of all your swings. The SC300i’s remote control remains one of its best features. The remote allows you to switch modes (Target vs. Practice), adjust the volume, change clubs, and more, all without leaving your hitting position.Plus, you can use it for practice both indoors and outdoors. Ideally, I would recommend using outside so you have enough distance to set up the device and can see your ball flight. The measuring range works up to 370 yards. Is there a warranty for the SC300? The SC300 is a standalone device from Voice Caddie, but you can sync it with their app as well (for both iPhone and Android users). Multiple Modes Regardless of how you use it, the SC300 gets high marks for being portable and easy to use. It can easily live in your golf bag and can be set up in under a minute. Also, the 12 hour battery life is awesome. Value

The primary difference between the SC300i and its little brother the SC200 is the fact you can pair it to a mobile app – and this is a great feature. Some people have bought things like this and expected them to magically fixtheir swing, but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Needless to say, the Skytrak provides a ton of data with great accuracy. The fact it doubles as a golf simulator is a huge bonus.

Effectiveness

The SC300 was almost as accurate with launch angle. It captured many shots perfectly, though there were occasional shots that were significantly off. When it comes to club head speed, there was significant variance between the GC2 and the SC300, but this was not entirely unexpected. Different launch monitors – even at the professional level – can give different readings because they measure the club speed at different points in the swing. If you hook it up to the app, you’re also able to get spin rate, which seemed to be in the ballpark most of the time as well. The one benefit to getting something like this is that it’ll make practicemore fun, you’ll get out more, and that could possiblyhelp you improve.

Introduction

It’s easy to setup, easy to use, and you don’t have to spend a ton of time fumbling through a series of app menus to use it. Do you have even more questions about the SC300? If so, we hopefully will cover it in our frequently asked questions and answers below. How does the Swing Caddie work?

I tested the SC300 head to head with a Foresight GC2 both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, I found that Swing Caddie’s claims about ball speed accuracy were generally right on. The biggest gap that I found was 3 MPH, but more often the SC300 was within 1 MPH. In fact, I would argue this ineffective practice happens to golfers more than we would care to admit. And it’s arguably one of the most (if not the most frustrating) feelings for a player who wants to get better. I really like the device itself, the build quality looks nicer than the SC200 did. Having the extra stats like the Launch Angle and Apex are also nice to have. You can use this monitor indoors or outdoors without your app and still learn a ton about your game. This is very different from the FlightScope Mevo which requires you to connect and sync through the app. You can use the remote or your mobile device to easily switch between clubs, and this is one area where I found the remote to be very useful. The fact it is the same company, but using different names (with two different apps) is a bit confusing. Sure, they can help a bit but the only thing that will fix a bad swing is lessons or training aids. Get exclusive Plugged In Golf pricing HERE!
