About this deal

Whirlwind • Vindicator • Stalker • Hunter • Whirlwind Hyperios • Land Raider Helios • Thunderfire Cannon • Firestrike Servo-turret

This armour would evolve over time to fit the steadily expanding scope of the new Space Marines battle doctrine, adding stealthy terror troops in slimmed-down Mk X Phobos armour while Intercessors took up new plasma weaponry to become fearsome Hellblasters . Roboute Guilliman’s adaptability flew in the face of the Imperium’s stagnant attitude towards innovation, and new Primaris formations sprang up with each new challenge the Adeptus Astartes had to face. Hellblaster Squad • Eradicator Squad • Aggressor Squad • Eliminator Squad • Suppressor Squad • Desolation Squad • Infernus Squad • Firestrike Servo-turret • Hammerfall Bunker An Intercessor, who can be part of a battleline Intercessor Squad, is the standard, multirole heavy infantry unit of the Primaris Space Marines. Intercessors are similar in combat function to a Tactical Squad of Firstborn Astartes or a Legion Tactical Squad of the ancient Space Marine Legionaries. A strong core of reliable and adaptable warriors that can lay down fire while advancing or holding terrain is an invaluable aid to any tactician. In the case of strike forces bolstered by Primaris battle-brothers, this role is filled by the Intercessor Squads. Raider: This operative can charge while within Engagement Range of an enemy operative. Also, every time this operative does a Normal move, it can move within Engagement Range of enemy operatives (but cannot finish its move there). This means control zones can be ignored or at least mitigated, and opens up a lot of possibilities. It also means the enemy can’t pin you with an expendable model, you can charge out at a juicier target but it has to be a charge, for retreating and shooting you want Mobile.Command Squad • Reclusiam Command Squad • Captain • Primaris Captain • Lieutenant • Primaris Lieutenant • Company Ancient • Company Champion All of the Assault Intercessors have this ability, which lets them perform two Fight actions each activation. On the whole this is much less useful than Bolter Discipline, but can be a really nasty ability when combined with the Raider Chapter Tactic or simply multi-charging. Bolter Discipline Bladeguard Veteran • Veteran • Veteran Intercessor • Veteran Assault Intercessor • Sternguard Veteran • Terminator ( Assault Terminator)

Chapter Master • Master of the Keep • Master of Sanctity • Chief Librarian • Master of the Apothecarion • Master of the Forge • Master of the Watch • Master of the Fleet • Master of the Arsenal • Master of the Marches • Master of the Rites • Master of Relics • Chief Victualler • Lord Executioner • Master of Recruits • Master of Reconnaissance • Master of the Signal • Chapter Ancient • Primaris Ancient • Chapter Champion • Honour Guard Deadly Sharpshooter: For this operative’s bolt weapon, decrease their critical damage by 1 and they get the MW1 critical hit rule. The weakest of the Discipline of Iron, if this had been a straight addition of MW1 it might see play, but the requirement to reduce your crit damage to compensate makes this a minor improvement. Go ahead and skip this one. Efficient: Probably the word that best defines the intercessors is that they are efficient. Unlike their brothers on the Phobos kill team Intercessors have access to re-rolls, plus with some tactics they are able to hit on a 3+ regardless of whether they wounded, performing Overwatch, or standing guard.Sternguard Veteran Squad • Vanguard Veteran Squad • Terminator Squad ( Terminator Assault Squad) • Bladeguard Veteran • Veteran Intercessor Squad • Company Veterans It is a proven approach, just not what I expected in the box. Now, let’s take a closer look at the spure. Above I present to you a picture of the Space Marine Assault Intercessors Sprue from this boxed set.

These one-shot missile launchers are common upgrades on vehicles across the Imperium, from APCs to front-line battle tanks. Rather than matching the profile of a krak missile, like before, hunter-killers are getting a significant boost in Strength to help them truly live up to their name.

Hunter-killer Missiles

While there are four categories of Trait to choose from, some of these just stand out way more than the others. Here are the best of the bunch: Tom: We needed to make sure we were enhancing the miniatures without overly decorating them, so there’d be enough blank space for people to play with their spare bits and paint their own touches on. With a powerful kit of the usual weapons available to Space Marines (power fist, relic weapon, heavy bolt pistol, etc.), where this model really shines, and where its leadership really matters, is in its Angels Wrath ability. This ability says that while this model is leading a unit, each time that unit ends a Charge move, until the end of the turn, you can add 1 to the Strength characteristic of melee weapons equipped by models in that unit. Taking on Heavy Targets – Intercessor weapons are OK but not amazing. As with Phobos teams, your play is going to rely more on volume than quality – you don’t really have any big ranged weapons to punch through heavy armor, and your Leader is going to have to do the heavy lifting in melee with a power fist or thunder hammer. You have limited access to AP – a Krak grenade on the grenadier, the grenade launcher on the gunner and the plasma pistol on the sergeant if you take it.
