About this deal

It is very easy to determine how you score points as both Pass The Pigs and Big Pigs offer a visual reference to the possible results. Below is a rundown of how the piggies point scores: It certainly looks like we are going to be spending a lot more time with our families in the garden this summer. And what better way to pass the time than playing some games? The goal in Pass the Pigs: Big Pigs is the same as in the original game of Pass the Pigs – be the first player to score 100 points. The familiar game play of Pass the Pigs is still there. But the pigs are huge!

Pass The Pig’s rules and regulations are ridiculously simple and straightforward, so unboxing the game is not a very thrilling experience. But the game is super compact and travel-friendly. If you are one of the few people, who haven’t played this game, brace yourselves, as Pass The Pigs is now making everyone throw oversized stuffed pigs for points! Watch out for bigger laughs and larger-than-life excitement with your family and friends at a party. Winning Moves kindly sent me a game to review. And I promised to play it with my little girl as soon as it arrived. Once a player reaches 100 points, they immediately win the game. Bigger pigs are more fun to grab and toss. We didn’t get this reaction with the original Pass the Pigs game. But now that we’ve got stress-ball type pigs to toss, we’re throwing pigs a lot more.

Final Thoughts

Each turn involves one player throwing two model pigs, each of which has a dot on one side. The player gains or loses points, or is eliminated from the game based on the way the pigs land. Each turn lasts until the player throwing either rolls the pigs in a way that wipes out their current turn score, wipes out their total game score, or decides to stop their turn, add their turn score to their total score and pass the pigs to the next player. The winner is the first player to reach a predetermined total score, usually 100 points.

As with the small travel set, I have no hesitation in recommending this game to everyone. I know that this will be a family favourite for years to come, and cannot wait to play it with some of my other friends and family. Why not try it too? Due to its small size and portability, it made the perfect travel game. (And thus it was played lots on school trips as I was growing up.) I have very fond memories of playing very competitive games in the common rooms of my school. Fantastic fun for the whole family, Pass the Pigs is so easy to play. Simply throw the 2 piggies up in the air and see how they land. Compare the pigs landing positions with your scorecard and earn points, the first to 100 wins.

What Age Is The Game Suited For?

Whilst you can play this game inside, it really needs some room! So we went out to play. And had such a lot of fun playing with the supersize pigs. It really is such a hilarious game that everyone can get involved in. And yes, giant pigs just make it so much better for parties and get togethers. Once we can get together, that is. One of the games I remember from childhood is Pass the Pigs, and yet I realised the other week it’s not something I’ve ever played with the children. It’s time to put that right and there’s no better time as the iconic game has gone up a notch. Hours of fun are guaranteed with this exciting Pass the Pigs game. Perfect for taking on the road, the Pass the Pigs game comes in a handy travel case, so there’s never a dull moment to be had! If their result is an “Oinker” (pigs are touching), the player loses ALL their points in the game so far.

The approximate relative frequencies of the various positions (for a single pig), using a standardized surface and trap-door rolling device and a sample size of 11,954, are [4] Position Players score points on their turn by rolling 2 pigs and having them land in certain positions. Once the score is noted, the player can choose to go again or keep their score. If they choose to stop, they keep their score to that point and play continues to the next player. Ideal for taking away, the Pass the Pigs’s handy travel case pops into any bag with ease. The inflatable Giant Pass the Pigs store away in a handy draw string bag, ready for more piggy fun again and again. Plus the Giant Pass the Pigs double up as adorable inflatable toys for the pool – and are super cool!Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame.

Yet we worry about the durability of the big pigs. We’ve had plenty of foam stress-balls that lose a chunk out of them here and there. And we worry these big pigs may suffer the same fate eventually. But maybe that’s more due to our vigorous throwing them around the house.

The giant pig miniatures, crafted from foam, ensure durability and safety, even if they are handled roughly. This was an intelligent decision by the manufacturers, considering the younger players launching these pigs as if they were throwing stones in a pond: with full force and power! Pass the Pigs is a commercial version of the dice game Pig, but using custom asymmetrical throwing dice, similar to shagai. It was created by David Moffatt and published by Recycled Paper Products as Pig Mania! in 1977. The publishing license was later sold to Milton Bradley and the game renamed Pass the Pigs. In 1992, publishing rights for North America were sold to Winning Moves Games USA, which acquired the game outright from David Moffat Enterprises in early 2017. [3] Rules [ edit ]
