About this deal

Keep remembering and forgetting to add Sony X70xx models, I've now added to the guide but they aren't the best buys presently. JVC televisions are quite popular in UK and that is why today we are taking a look at one of their big-screen models that was in the last couple of weeks. JVC LT-58CA810 is a 58-inch 4k Android HDR TV with simple design and all the basic functions for a TV in this class. In short, if a TV is not listed, its because it is not good value compared to the competition, as simple as that.

LG 70UN7070 - A good choice if you don't mind spending a bit more, prefer a slightly bigger TV, decent upscaling and smart TV. Input lag is low enough in game mode on all TVs now, so in that respect every TV is good at gaming. In 2023, Toshiba UK is divided up into three major lines: the QF5D Series, the UF3D Series, and the LK3C Series. There are other 2023 Toshiba TVs, but the main difference here comes down to the smart TV OS you prefer. The JVC Fire TV Edition is a 4K HDR TV though, and therefore supports the HDR10 standard, as well as the dynamic Dolby Vision HDR format. However, we’ve found that cheaper sets generally struggle with premium Dolby formats – either to draw out the quality, or play the format at all – and you may not want to buy this set for that purpose. I've stressed so many times that the most important decision when purchasing a TV is knowing which panel type the TV has. If you don't care which panel type your TV comes with, then by all means buy a Samsung or Philips not listed in the guide, do not however ask me to compare them since I simply can't until I know what panel type comes on the TV.

As the JVC employs a VA-type LCD panel, it has a familiar set of pros and cons. Viewed head-on, it supplies a surprisingly vivid, high-contrast image. Move even slightly away from head-on, however, and the contrast and colours fade away rapidly; the viewing angles are narrow at best. As a result, wall-mounting it above eye-level is a no-no, and you’ll want to be seated directly in front wherever possible, which may be awkward in many living rooms.

One place the JVC does trip up is in its latency. Even in its built-in Game mode, the TV displays a lag of 42ms. The result was even worse than the 33.8ms achieved by the Hisense A7100, which doesn’t have a game mode at all. Picture quality Philips 43PUS9235 - Too expensive but may be an option for people wanting good built in sound. Uses an VA panel. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Wide colour gamut. Good built in sound. Philips 2020: Übersicht / Line Up / Range aller 2020er Philips TVs - Toengels Philips Blog. Upscaling is somewhat disappointing. While the image is sharp, colours appear washed out compared with the TV’s handling of native 4K content. The LT-55CF890 features the old Fire TV interface and not the all-new Fire TV experience available on some of its streamers. It’s large and straightforward to navigate with tabs for the home screen, live TV, your videos, movies, TV, apps and settings.

If you still use the TV to watch content that isn't high quality yet then you are better viewing farther from a smaller TV.

But that doesn’t mean you need to jump to the higher end of the price range, either. For most people, middling prices are the best way to go, as these products usually meld both quality and affordability.

LG 60UN7100 - A good choice if you don't mind spending a bit more, prefer a slightly bigger TV, decent upscaling and smart TV. But for other PC uses, such as gaming or video editing, you will need better graphics cards, RAM and GPUs.
